Bethel, Alaska
People often come to Bethel for higher paying jobs or work experience. Although sometimes our wages are higher, so is the cost of living. With a loaf of bread and a gallon of milk costing around $13 and a gallon of gas over $7.
Finding affordable quality housing can also be challenging. Many people have come to Alaska under false pretenses; thinking they will get rich quick. When in reality, it's like everywhere else. It takes hard work and sacrifices to get ahead in life. Here is a little advise before moving here for work: do some research before you come.... This video should help you get started.
People always wonder what it's like living way out here. Well, let me show you a peek.

Why We KEEP The Faith!

What I like about Jesus, (Evening Meditation)
มุมมอง 7792 หลายเดือนก่อน
Sometimes we have unrealistic ideas of who people are when in fact they lived similar to us. We all have had struggles, fears, and dreams. Jesus was like us in some ways, too, and in other ways Not. Join me meditating on Jesus as He cares for a man who was insignificant in his own eyes and in the eyes of those around him.

Not by accident…

We often forget why we are alive and who we are. Just as a fillet knife is made for a purpose, us humans are also made for a purpose. The title "Waqaa?" is from the Yugtun language, and is the local people that live around here and the nearby villages. We can remember who we are and why we are on this earth, when we examine the Holy Bible. Here are 2 verses mentioned in the video. John 3:16-17 ...
GOD finds Value in Us.

      I’m sorry to hear that. There are so many people just like you all around the world. There have been a few through sweat and tears that come out of that lifestyle, although the journey is tough and some scars never leave… Even now, responding to this video is an acknowledgment that there is still hope for you. You have two problems: First, A Spiritual need. Yes, even on this post there might be 100k people that disagree with what I’m about to tell you, that is why I am backing what I am about to tell you with the God Book. I can tell you many things and so can everyone, but what YOU NEED is The God who created this world to BREATHE LIFE into you once more. God has ALLOWED Sinful mankind to chase their own pleasures. Read Romans chapter one in the Bible. Jesus was and is a real person/GOD. You NEED TO TRUST JESUS WITH EVERYTHING YOU GOT. That might not be much at first, but God will give you His Spirit to help you. Start reading the book of life- The Bible. Don’t just read it; ask God to Help you understand it and to give you faith in Him. I suggest you read the Book of John. Once you start putting your faith, hope….everything you got in Jesus. Talk to Him (that’s known as prayer) and ask Him to give you a new life through Jesus. Trust that Jesus died and came back to life to forgive you and make a way for you to have peace with God. Because Jesus came back to life, you now can have new life also. That is what it means to be born again. It’s when God gives you faith in Himself and allows a person to start a new life. It happened to me and Millions of others throughout history. You won’t wake up perfect, but God puts His sprit in you and gives you the strength to continue pursuing Himself. Step 2 is get into a treatment center. I suggest “Adult and Teen Challenge”. They have the highest success rate. I have seen and visited one of their facilities here in Alaska and heard testimonies from people that went through the program who have started a new life journey. It’s not going to be easy! But it’s the right thing to do. You could wake up some morning and look at yourself in the mirror and say, “Thank you GOD for saving me”.

    Beautiful furs there man. I used to trap here in Newfoundland years ago and wish I had got some of my furs tanned to keep for myself. Do you sell the furs to taxidermists? How much would you get for a tanned beaver, lynx or mink? Just subbed. Great vids. Cheers

      Hello, Most of the furs my family and I use to make all sorts of things. The ones I sell stay here in our little community. What kind of animals did you trap?

    • @lenhowl
      @lenhowl 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @ We trapped lot of beaver, fox, mink. Now and then might get an otter in beaver traps but there were no lynx around our area. There are lynx in Newfoundland but just very few in our general area. Hope you have a good season, take care.

      Their diet consists of willow or alder shrubs and different types of plant roots. It’s so amazing that the beaver can live out here. They not only live out here, they thrive.
