Cards that fill similar roles include Winter Orb (you may still be playing low cmc creatures and spells, but the opponent won’t be able to spread their wings into their endgame).

@@blaketrzpuc9231 Derelor is a favorite of mine! I would definitely make room for it if I expected more Orcs, Goblins, and Dwarves. It is a great blocker and helpful against Dwarven Catapult. The fact you bring him up means you are perfect for this format; come join us!

I think he had the game written off. Obviously the best play is to represent UU and a counter, making me activate Scepter before burning. But had I done that, the x-spell would not have been lethal, so the Scepter wasn’t an option. I remember drawing The Rack and something irrelevant with the Geyser plus my draw step, so for these purposes that decision didn’t really matter; I had Fireball in hand. Good catch, though!

@@jacktremain674 besides that, “the gathering” is perhaps the best part about magic: the gathering. R40 league matches are great, but there is nothing that compares to bashing craw wurms against sea serpents among friends!!

I am glad to see that you have leapt in! I do like mono blue: Vodalian War Machine is tougher than it looks, and Homarid Spawning Bed is a good answer to Dwarven Catapult. Those are where I would start.

There going to be an FE + Dark tournament in November ‘23!

This is a great project, and it is one on-going for me. Personally I am trying to build a battlebox of 15 decks: one of each mono-color, and one of each color combination. You are right to be concerned about power levels because to balance them is the hardest part!! Some of these decks are posted on my Instagram: green/red aggro; mono red Atog Sligh; blue/white control; black white Pestilence/White Knight; blue/green Serendib Efreet; and black/red Disco Troll. @@etrusko15 minimum 40 card decks, only basic lands and Fallen Empires cards, no rarity considerations, 4-of rule except for Hand of Justice which is limited to 2. Hymn to Tourach is banned.

Many have reached out to me to restore and alter it. Apparently it is a big thing in the OS community to fix these up. As for me and this one, we have parted ways amicably. I like cards that look, other than wear, the way they did in 1994.
