Naughty or Nice Party - Vero Beach Florida
I look forward to Rachael and Jeremy's Naughty or Nice party every year. Last year I missed it and had major FOMO. So happy I stayed around long enough to make it this year. It was a night of laughter with great Vero Beach friends.

Sea Trout and Jack Crevalle Taste Test

I convinced @upsidedownlady to do a taste test with a Jack Crevalle, a bait fish, by telling her I was smoking two tasty sea trout. The Jack Crevalle was fine tasting, a little earthy but edible. Compared to the sea trout there was really no comparison. The sea trout is light, moist and flaked apart in smoky perfection. I can't say I'd ever keep another jack.

I chose Volksmarsch, a Marzen style beer from Walking Tree Brewery in Vero Beach Florida. @upsidedownlady went with 907 Pale Ale from 49th State Brewing - Denali Park These two brews paired well with the incredible views from Savage Alpine Trail. We are so lucky to have Kelsey show us around her summer stomping grounds.

What an incredibly beautiful week it has been on Hurricane Lake as @upsidedownlady, Eric and I spent time in 16' jon boat exploring together. Great video and great trail, but the name is actually 'Beech' Cliff Trail as in beech tree. Of course, the fact that it starts at Echo Lake Beach adds to the confusion.
