It would be good to explain why you don't like it. Simply saying "it's not for me" is not super helpful.

I bought one new with no test ride and took me a fair while to get used to it, but now have covered 7000 miles in just over a year I would not change it, brilliant bike with low maintenance & it is different, it stands out in a crowd

I had an 80's BMW RT 80 for 10 years, so I bonded with the V7 immediately; it's everything I liked about my old BMW, except better in every way. More power, more comfort, vastly better handling; it's just a joy to ride especially in the tight mountain twisties on the Gold River Road here on Vancouver Island. Fifth gear is just perfection on a mountain highway. Perfect power and compression braking for maximum effortless control. My 71 year old knees also love that shaft drive!

I have owned a Scram for just over 2 years, for daily use (currently my only form of transport). Very happy with it. I am also 5' 6" and not sure how you can get your feet flat to the ground with a 29" inseam? It is a 31" seat height and I am on my toes. Not an issue, once I got used to it ( my previous bike was an 1100 cruiser, with a low seat height).

Maybe I missed it, but I didn't catch what in particular you didn't like about it? Why would you prefer the Interceptor?

I wanted to love it too, it's a great looking bike. Couldn't get on with the Guzzi Shake and to be honest it felt a million miles behind a Bonneville .

I love the 'clong' of the gearbox, reminds me my old BMW R75/7... same spirit of bike riding.

The bike has two levels of traction control accessed via the mode button and changed with the starter button with the engine running ( which feels wrong but it does work) . The wings across the screen flash when the pre set max revs are reached - this can be adjusted to suit the riders needs after the 4500rpm max during the running in miles (930). It is by no means an ordinary bike. It has it's quirks and is not just a thoughlessly get on and ride sort of bike. I have one and I love it. They say you only get out of life what you put in and I get so very much out of riding my V7.

A good honest short ride review Al, not a bike I'd be interested in myself but there are a couple in the MG stable I wouldn't mind trying. Speaking of which did you get a try of the Stelvio on the same day ?

70 mph you get vibes in the bars ,saw a guy in India he put better quality grips on and no more vibes he said ,food for though ,jimmy. Australia nice bike good value and it dose every thing it says on the tin ,Royal Enfield spent a few years on research and development a lot of people were involved they had a dozen rider hammer it through the Himalayan mountain rough roads it’s been very well tested suspension and power is good for a thumper 👍😎thanks for your video mate

Surprising review, I thought you might find it a bit lumpy, being used to the Honda. Sounds smoother than the KTM. Need to try take one out.

Nice review. Its good you said your height too - I'm not much taller at 5'7", so nice to see what would be comfy, and still be flat-footed when stopped. I'm still on a 125, on my CBT, but just looking for ideas for when I pass my test, and looking for my first "bigger" bike.

Seems to be an upgrade to the old Himalyan and fairly decent for the money. I like dealerships that aren't pushy too.

Really great video, I’ve been looking at the various option on the Carupride site but it’s almost impossible to understand the differences (the obvious ones aside - screen size and options / accessories) so on the basis of this and other videos I bought a W603 and am eagerly awaiting it. Thank you 😃🏍️ A question though, it comes with a RAM style mount which I could use as I have two RAM posts on the bike but would prefer to mount it like yours on a bracket I’ve installed above the instrument cluster (VFR1200X). Was it hard to do?

I am real interested in the kit. But I am on the fence still. Does the 4 screws at the back of the unit fit a garmin 4 screws mount? I really would like to reuse my current Evotech mount.

I had the 702 but I prefer a slightly smaller and elongated display, in fact I ordered the 619, I'm not interested in the cameras. Is the operation the same?
