Trying to get a John Deere LX188 to come back to life.
Looking good. I’ve had mine for 14 years. I’ve been able to find every part needed on the internet.
Nice
Dude, nice work! Love seeing people give some love to the old Isuzus. You're inspiring me to put more work into my Rodeo.
Dude, congrats on grabbing that beauty! I've had a '92 Rodeo since early 2020, and it is an adventure vehicle for sure. Lately I've been putting a lot of work into it, and this video is inspiring me to do more. Thanks for sharing!
Nice work!!
I was looking for a cheap offroader and was considering but hesitant about a first gen Trooper. I think you just convinced me 😅
Awesome
How about some updates on the Trooper👍
Make more Isuzu videos
Most times ya gotta make something to find out the way you woulda done it...
Nice work was that just cut and buff?
just bought a 91 in great shape and definitely looking forward to fixin her up in a similar way!! keep up the videos
filling it with weld is genius, hope it holds up long term! I have a feeling mine is having the exact same problem, might end up trying this
Great
Got a 98', 5-speed. Took me to Alaska and back. 245k and going strong. Loved the vid!
Thank you !
Good video, ive got a 1987 thats in pretty good shape
I enjoyed mine a lot. They are hard to find.
I miss my 91 trooper so much 😢. It was my very first car. Came with a 5 speed with the 2.6l 4 cyl. Miss those days 👍
That was nicely done. I may do that too. Much cheaper then buying one ready made. Thanks for showing us. And it looks good too.
Thank you. It’s always fun to produce something yourself.
We need an update on the trooper! About to purchase an ‘89 trooper 2 door here in Colombia from my uncle. It’s definitely gonna need some touch ups here and there.
I've always liked these Troopers. I want a first year model, and swap the running gear with something modern. But they are very hard to find.
Great job on the trooper bud
Thank you Stephen
You have me some great ideas for mine.
what are the sizes of that tire?
235/75R15
Make sure u don’t tighten those wheel bearing axle nuts to tight!! They are supposed to be a little tighter than hand tight, basically spin the wheel and tighten till u feel drag then back off 1/4 turn
Clorox bleach would have taken that mildew staining rite off, I’ve done it several times
Thank you for the insight. I wish I would’ve tried that, it would’ve made everything a lot easier.
I have a '91 V6 with 235K on it. I recently discovered that there is an oil pressure switch that is sensed such that when the main fuel pump relay goes out, the backup relay is triggered when the fuel pressure switch goes off (or goes low, I guess). This is detected by the ECU. That way the Trooper can start even if the main fuel pump relay goes out. It was a long road of troubleshooting to figuring this out - thought I'd have to replace the fuel pump at first!
Electrical Sensors can always be tricky. I’m glad you figured it out though.
Here a tip, theres a thermovalve on top of the thermostat housing, if someday that thing broke just cap the line that goes to the intake manifold and connect the othe 2 lines left from the intake tube to the solenoid in the fender
Thank you for the info!
@SpikerDragon95 The trooper seems to surge after it has warmed up when coming back down to idle after driving… (like coming to a red light) do you know what might cause this?
@@jetproject7955 well I start by basic tune up, plugs, wires, rotor, and probably calibrated valves, I was having an hideus misfires, turns up the recently buy NGK plugs went bad, replace all by BOSCH and no problemo, well recently I got a couple of fuel leaks in the inlet of the fuel rail, the copper washer that seal the inlet in the banjo bolt went bad and now a fuel injector are leaking in the o rings that settle in the fuel rail
Why didn’t you paint the wheels while the tires were off?
Sir, I am amazed at your skills and inventiveness. I have a 1993 Trooper in need of some repairs and paint. Not much if any rust. Only 125,000 miles. Runs well, but some problems finding a proper brake booster. Would love to have someone with your talent do what you did to yours, to make it safe. I did have a timing belt brake, but no noticeable damage to the engine, which promptly shut down. I would pay lots to get my Trooper into trustworthy state. Better than any new SUV. Anyway, if you continue on youtube, you will become one of the "go to" channels for expert knowledge. Keep up the good work. Thumbs up!
Thank you for the kind words. I agree, troopers are one of the better vehicles ever made. I do wish they had a timing chain instead of a timing belt. Again, thank you for the kind words.
They are sweet I just bought a 98 trooper there built as best they can be
That’s awesome! How many miles ?
Recently bought a1989 RS running great seeing a bit a oil leak thou
@@tyzmez maybe the leak is bad enough so you don’t have to change the oil. Just add oil and keep going.
@@jetproject7955 👍🏼 ok
Looks great
Thank you !
Made in China
Very nice John Deere ice cream maker 😋. Just make ice cream at a show 😋. It's the best, had it before at the show.
Gotta take care of the fur babies lol
That’s right!
Lol poor generator
It didn’t like not having any oil. I’m still surprised it ran as long as it did.
Absolutely beautiful
Thanks for the comment. It’s not mine but I thought it would be worth sharing.
Looks awsome
Thank you!
It's amazing what we'll do for our pets. Nice job!
Henry earned it! Thank you for the comment !
Nice job! Happy dog 🐕
Thank you! He seems to like it.
Good stuff. You do all the research and work and take the time to help the rest of us! Thank you. I had an issue with almost no heat in my 14 Ram. I thought it was the blend door, which is behind the glove box. It ended up being a dirty heater core. I disconnect the hoses on the motor side and lightly flushed it forward and back. Filled it with antifreeze before connecting it back up and my heat returned! To replace the heater core is an absolute nightmare..hope I never have to do that!
I had to replace the heater core on a jeep one time, it was a very hard job (especially by yourself). I’m glad the heater core on your Ram was a relatively easy fix.
@@jetproject7955 I can only imagine that project. If I keep the truck long enough and it needs one, because it's my truck, I might careful cut the firewall and replace it through the engine bay. There's a video on doing it the right way and the steering column needs to be almost taken out and the dash completely removed. I'm good!
Good job man! I like your vids!
I appreciate it, I cant wait to see what all you get done on the FL70 tow truck
Man U got a nice one rite there!! I’ve been wanting a trooper forever!
It’s a cool little ride. Andrew Camarata convinced me to buy one.
I subbed to your channel, you do good work and you remind me a lot of myself when I was younger. Keep it up! I would prob add some diagonal braces on the ramp jack arms and maybe add some more metal on them so it’s easier to drive up and the tires don’t fall in every hole. I like the property at your house nice and clean looking.
Thank you for the comment. I’ll take note on those ramps for the next one I might work on.
NOT BAD!! This channel needs to look into "Promo sm"!!!
What is Promo sm
I've built plenty of those grinder stands over the yrs, and I always use at least 3" round pipe or bigger, and fill the pipe or square tubing with sand before welding the grinder base on top. One for more weight plus it deaded the vibration of the grinder. I also used a semi drum for the base. Try this it works.!!!!
The sand is a very good idea. Thanks for the advice !
Awesome video 👍👍👍
Thank ya! I’m glad you like it.
@@jetproject7955 How could we contact with you?

So using a f150 with other f150? Yikes ok
Nice job, looks good, but be careful those pretty decks get slippery fast. Sometimes a little rust isn't so bad.
I know it. That surface rust acts like sandpaper sometimes. Thank you for the comment.
What kind of paint did you use to roll on trailer
It’s farm implement paint from Tractor Supply. Thank ya for the comment
Nice job.
Thank you Keith
Where can I find a Trroper just like that one!!!!!😅
They are hard to find !
why didnt you paint the wheels when you had the tires off of them?
That’s a good question. The main reason is because it’s hard to put the new tires on without scratching the new paint when you use the tire changer I have. Thank ya for the comment.
