MotoGadget Blade flip mirrors on a Ducati Streetfighter
มุมมอง 6674 หลายเดือนก่อน
Added MotoGadget blade moto flip mirrors to Ducati Streetfighter and they don’t work quite as expected. THe mirrors themselves are FANTASTIC, however the "flip" mechanism will cause the nut that holds the mirror on to loosen....if this happens on the street you are going to lose a VERY expensive mirror. Personally I am going to simply not ever "flip" them and am going to loctite the nut.

      @redrider0151 13 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It "seems" that way but in reality there have been 3...(MotoMillion, CarWow, and S1kRRazza) that were actual motor issues. Fastlane D was a shock issue and a tire issue (he looked at all sorts of things trying to figure it out that it was a tire). CaliMoto was an M1000R, not a double R which is a completely different motor (its an S1000RR motor). I was VERY deliberate in how I broke in the bike, as its a lot different than most streetbikes, its truly the same motor they use in WSBK...2 ring pistons, titanium rods, different heads, etc....it requires a very specific breakin...which a lot (most) dont have the patience for...as most wanna just get on it and grip it and rip it. I am worried that there are more that we DONT hear about than anything else....as all the ones we hear about (main ones are Motomillion and Carwow) it was bearing failure, which IMHO seems like a batch of defective bearings. We will see...I am not doign any true performance mods til the bike has 2k miles on it...and even then its just a pipe and a SAFE tune (nothing that changes rev limiter)

      I got the outrageously expensive BMW spools that are a tiny bit wider... :D. I tried a set of woodcraft spacers, but it didnt leave a lot of room for the bolt into the bike (like a 1/4 inch is all) so I didnt trust it to hold the bike...lotta pressure on that tiny bit of bolt...so yeah...I still force my wife to sit on it anytime I put it on the stand... :D. Buy the Alpha chain adjuster, it has superbike style holders on them. It gets rid of the spools on the swing arm. And lift the bike on the other side of the rear brake, then you can keep you're rear stand. Plus they look great.

      I know of 3 M1000RR's that ran into issues...all 2023's AFAIK...I know of no others....is it an issue, possibly, depending on whether they cover the issues under warranty. Its the main reason I am waiting til I have 1500-2000 miles on it before I install a tune or a header. I see plenty of them out there getting the crap beat out of them without any failures. I am guessing there is a defective batch of bearings, and BMW KNOWS it but its not financially profitable to do a recall so they are letting them fail and turning away warranty on ANY that have a tune if I had to guess and only fixing those that are 100% not modified.....although they did cover CaliMoto's...I would LOVE to hear about any others....

    Beautiful sound and bike!! Got my RG ST last week and Fuel Moto suggested the following setup based on that I want that ´hot rod/aggressive´ feel. - Wood 777XE cam kit - S&S Billet tappet cuffs - PV - Fuel Moto Contender 2-1 shorty - SE 64mm TB + ported manifold - Fuel Moto AC/DC BMF +1 air cleaner - Clutch springs This setup with a good dyno tune puts out 134 hp/130 tq on their sheets. I know that you have a different cam, but you seems like an experienced and knowledgeable man. So, I´ve heard and read alot about the 777XE being jerky and grumpy below 2500 rpm. What´s your take on this matter? Will it be a hassle when riding light to light ripping it from standstill or when you ride two up with luggage etc? Is there always a need to downshift to find torque? Thanks a bunch man, ride safe!

    • @redrider0151
      @redrider0151 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mine is the XD, not the XE....but i can tell you that the difference between the 2 of them, the 30/30, the 475....i have ridden bikes with all of them....the difference in performance in your seat while riding around town is barely perceptible...only place you wilk know is on a dyno or possibly the track where you are looking at timeslips. 3-5 hp and ft-lbs of torque at specific rpm on a 900 lb bike is not going to be a difference your gonna feel on the street. The more important thing is the guy tuning it....the feel of throttle response, how you ride the bike....i ride 2up 90% of the time on the RG and its fantastic....my other bikes have a much more harsh power delivery....the RG is by far the smoothest and best on the street....the wife likes it the most. The power is very linear and it makes good power and torque throughout the rev range....its rare that i ever NEED to downshift (as long as i am over 2200 rpm, it always has enough pull) unless i want to really rip it, and then its game time
