Join us as we travel to Nyl River Bush Camp through the Waterberg Mountain range on only gravel roads.
We spent three nights camping at Nyl river bush camp. Ending of our Waterberg mountain range series. We had cold weather and a hard time keeping ourselves entertained. A good episode to watch to get to know the budget travelers on a more personal level.

Situated between the Northern range of the magnificent Waterberg mountains and majestic Nyl River, Nyl river bush camp on Moorddrift farm awaits you in the heart of the Limpopo bushveld. We are situated 12km South from Mokopane and only 200km north of Pretoria on the N1. Just off theN1 to Mokopane on Moorddrift Farm.
We will provide you with an absolute tranquil, atmosphere-filled, bush adventure & stay in nature. Our campsite is brand new and us as the Smit family cannot wait to welcome guests here with us on the farm in the middle of the bushveld.
Nyl River Bush Camp is the perfect venue for private events, family weekends, rowing groups, cycling groups, hiking groups, birding clubs, caravan “saamtrek”, special events, and corporate functions.

What activities do you recommend for families with toddlers? Is there a place that has a pool?
There is a campground just next door to where we stayed. Can not remeber the name or if they have a pool, but there are a lot of activities around the area for families such as the knysna Elephant park and scootouring. Be sure to watch epispde one of our honeymoon series for a more detailed look at what the area offers
