Doing this build at the moment so this is all great info. Thank you for sharing. Interesting about the valves hitting as that's not what I want to hear and didn't want to fly cut the pistons. Also did you ever try the mast LST conversion intake? Thinking about trying it on my twin turbo setup and looking to stay under 15 lbs of boost.
@@donovanb.4565 I’ve seen those intakes but never used them, they came out long aft I did my first setup, only I take Ives used aside from the superchargers was the lt hi-ram, they cam with port injection to add more fuel to the LT engines, wasn’t really made for the way I used it but made it work
would i have to fly cut my pistons?
Is the pigtail for the coil the same as ls?
@@DylanWarner-m3d it is not the same, I just used Ls harness on lt coils
Followed your directions and ecu still not working. It says BAM1 error. Upgrade failed. Sent you a dm thru ig.
Are you using lt coils? Does a factory LS coil harness plug into the LT coil harness?
I am using LT coils, but I’m using an LS harness, so the LS and LT share the same coils, but the LT harness is different from the LS, and since I am using an LS terminator X to run everything I had to keep everything with LS harnesses,
@ thank you for the quick reply, let me make sure I understand…..I have a 03 Silverado ss, I bought a whipple 3.0L cheap from a friend for a 2020 Yukon 6.2. I can use the original 03 wiring harness, just plug them in to the LT coils?
That is correct LT coils and LS coils have the same plug. It’s that GM harness that is different.
Feel free to find me on Instagram or Facebook if you want to chat a little more or have any more questions
@macburton96
Your a beast bro 🫡🫡🫡
hi, do those LT heads have canted valves?
Jesus these things can be bricked??
Explain how it's worth it.
Wish you was my neighbor bruh
Whats the map hooked to?

@@Macburton96 port?
@@anthonyking4387 originally I had it set up on the vacuum port on the carburetor, but I wanted to look cleaner and not have hoses run anywhere so I bought a 1 inch spacer off Amazon drilled and tapped a hole for a quarter inch barb fitting and then just ran behind the carb
People don’t realize how much more efficient those LT heads are. Once you port them, about the only thing that flows better than that are a set of Frankenstein heads. However, I’ve seen where BTR has released a new set of heads for LS engines and I’m curious to see how good they are compared to Frankenstein or LT heads.
Hell yeah 👍
I have a weird case where i am trying to put LS heads on an LT block, will i just need to use a step bit on the LS head?
@@cartermackenzie1135 I would say so
The battery must be located in the trunk

What pushrods did you use
I used Trick Flow 3/8 diameter 7.850 length
I have no experience with the eforce. I’m here to see how it does haha

Thank you so much for this video! That has really helped me. Again I appreciate the effort as there is little to nothing on TH-cam for what you have just done 🤘🏻
Good video. Can you update the the ECU without a handheld in general? I cant find any videos of this being done.
You sure can, if you download the latest firmware from the Holley website, you can connect your laptop to the ecu via laptop and update directly from laptop software
I’ll make a short video
@@Macburton96 wow that would be amazing. I don't have a handheld but I have read things about bricking your ECU. Currently my ECU is brand new in the box and im about to install it. However, i was wonder what i would do when i connect it to the car. I have downloaded V2 & V3 on my laptop ready. However, i was worried about doing the update directly from my laptop to the ECU directly.
@@johnflanders7523 video is up, hope it’s helpful
We’re is the advance vacuum line going to from the carb?
The msd 6014 has a 2.5 built in map sensor that goes to vacuum port on the intake
got some tight valves
Love that chop. This the setup I’m working to build.
Where do you get the tach signal on that thang
Msd 6014, grey wire
Sounds like it's got high compression 😮
Decent power?
Definitely picked up a bunch compared to the previous setup
@@Macburton96 interesting. I’ve just heard those adapter plates for the LS 4150 style manifold to the LT heads kill flow. What was your previous setup?
@@morganpowell2999 previous setup was summit stage 4 cam, 799 heads, single plane intake and same quick fuel carb in the video, the plates might kill flow a bit, back then if I was smarter I should have gone with the LS7 to LT plates instead of ls3, the ports are more evenly matched, but I haven’t had this setup it a while it’s an old video
@@Macburton96 nice, I figured I’d ask how the power was because I know flow numbers aren’t always indicative of power. That’s pretty good if it was up from that previous setup.
@@morganpowell2999 I never dyno’d that setup, both cams were almost identical in spec, from the seat of my pants there was a significant difference, the LT heads flowed better and they were L83 heads with 56cc chambers, I had done some home porting on them and the bump in compression helped too
Where are u located? do you do ls swaps or only a hobby? i want to ls swap my 86 monte
I am located in Ontario Canada between Ottawa and Montreal, I do it mostly for a hobby. I just finished swapping my cousins C10, and might be doing a friends truck this winter, I would like to do it full-time, but there’s just not that much demand for it in the area and between my work, my family and my own projects there’s not a whole lot of time left
how much hp is in that girl?
I’m gonna be honest I’ve never actually taken it out to a Dyno to have it checked, after I did my original Lr T head swap Brian Tooley came out with a stage four camshaft specifically made for this type of swap. I ended up talking back-and-forth with him a lot, and we still do talk every now and then I told him the specs of my build and he told me with a proper tune and if I can get it up to 8 PSI, I should be making around the 1k hp mark, and I usually run about 8.5-9 psi so I should be somewhere around that general area
All that money and you used your pocket beaver to cut the hood... 😂
@@MrGeorge1978😂😂😂, it’s an old hood, it’s been upgraded to fiberglass
I’ll tell you another issue. The shaft for the primary blades will bind. The return spring is very lame and will allow the blades to stay slightly open. At idle it will think it’s lean and add a ton of fuel. That wipes out the crappy o2 sensor. Just figured I’d share a problem I had. I added a strong return spring and problem solved.
Thanks for the advice, i had an old return spring rail from my carb setup and it a return spewing was the one of the first things I put on the petal was very sticky
Can you use the same SD card that’s in the handheld and just clear it and redownload everything? I’m new to the holley efi im old school. Or should I get a new SD card?
You can use the same sd card, just pop it in the computer, format it and it’s clean you can start over, sometimes when people download new updates and don’t take off the old one, the hand held may flash one firmware and the ecu could flash another
@@Macburton96 I’ve read that splitter cables can cause issues. Have you done this with a splitter cable?
@@detrickvI don’t use a splitter so couldn’t say
@@Macburton96 well I’m in the middle of doing this rn, the files are taking forever to unzip idk why but I’ll get back to you if I have any issues
@@Macburton96 I didn’t have any luck
Tslc isn’t showing up only the first one I’m stumped
TSLC is the firmware for the 3.5 display, if you can’t find it, download it separately on the Holley website
Have any more videos of this car?
I might have one or two videos when the car looked like that, look at the videos profile to see the progress of the car 👍
Not working good
It doesn’t work good, it works great😂
Keep it going sir , also if you need more space for the TB ict billet sells a 1 inch spacer so you don’t have to run the linkage in a crazy way .
What headers?
1998 Fbody headers, got LT header flanges from motion race works and welded it all up

Got a weird one for you. Driving along car shuts off. No power out of term. No fuel pumps nothing. Unhook the battery for a couple hours. Hook it back up and the car starts and runs for a minute or 2 then shuts off and dead term again. Think it's a software issue or is the term just kicking the bucket on me?
It sounds like you might have a bad grounding issue somewhere I had to deal with this with my cousins Truck and one of my neighbours car. They had a ground running from the battery to the engine block, but nothing from the engine to the frame and it wouldn’t charge the battery Properly it would seem to run all right and then all the sudden the battery would die and then you let it sit for minute and it would start right up and it was wiping the tune so it would kill the fuel pump and the fans maybe go through all your power/ grounding wires and make sure everything is good
Have fun.
Why would you though?
Mo powa!!!

Whats the wheel setup?
Don’t remember exactly, was a while ago, aluminum slotted mags I had painted black, 14 in the front 15 back
