This precludes women from serving as pastors over men, since pastoring definitely includes preaching, teaching publicly, and exercising spiritual authority. Adam was created first, then Eve. And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who was deceived” (verses 13-14). God created Adam first and then created Eve to be a “helper” for Adam. The order of creation has universal application in the family Ephesians 5:22-23 and in the church.

@@melissamendoza5275 no such thing as pastor Nicole. God's Word is clear that God's design and order is that men are the lead and be head of the family and church. The elders are to be men. Women have a role as well and play an important role of teaching other women or leading/guiding children. This is God's ordained structure. We don't get to change what we didn't create.

@@suehull6688 forgiveness and the price being paid for sin is different. The price of our sins were not paid for until Jesus died on the cross shedding his blood. No salvation if no blood shed. So the price was paid by the blood of Christ.

@CONVOChurch so, if the price was paid, then God doesn't actually FORGIVE sins. He's been paid.

@@suehull6688 Not sure I understand the point you are making or the question you are asking. But you live in the post resurrection time. God has always been able to forgive. But forgiveness unto salvation became complete and available after the resurrection. That’s foundational Christian theology.

@CONVOChurch I'm talking about what forgiveness means. As in Mt 18 starting with verse 23, when the king forgave the servant's debt, no one came along and paid it. It was simply forgiven with no payment. If it had been paid by someone, forgiveness would not have been necessary. So, are our debts paid for or are they forgiven?
