I think paying Purdy over $35 million a year will be a mistake. He’s a good QB, great at times but his size and arm strength limitations show up in cold weather and playoff games. Plus Niners should rebuild as they cannot rely upon CMC, Aiyuk, Samuel, and the injury prone defenders

If you seriously think that Kirk is "below average" based on five games, then you are ignorant and clearly don't know football. Even when Kirk was performing at an MVP level in 2023, he was still called "average". Five bad games (out of 164) are not gonna discourage any team. He has enough top performances on tape, four Pro Bowls, and the stats over his career to confirm that. It's really a shame that the Falcons didn’t support Kirk more and fix the obvious issue….lack of play action. He needs to be under center and have a lot of play action passes called. Guys who actually know what they are talking about also criticized the play calling as the problem. One of Kirk’s former coaches, Jon Gruden, pointed out the lack of play action. Kurt Warner criticized the poor receiver routes, a lack of offensive cohesion and an offense that failed to play to Kirk’s strengths. Jay Gruden, Kirk’s former coach, said the routes and play calls were not suited to what Kirk is best at…anticipating throws. He also said the receivers were not getting separation on their routes and weren't sharp coming in out of their breaks.

It’s extremely obvious what went wrong when you look at the whole picture and not just at Kirk like he is the only guy on offense…smh. It was predictable play calling, 3rd down calls that were immediately sniffed out by the other team, lots of penalties that killed drives, and pass protection that was 21st in the NFL and was always getting pushed into Kirk’s lap. Robinson called for a lot more rushing TDs in the red zone after week nine. He and Morris both said they wanted to make Bijan the focus of the offense which means a lot of run plays and less passing plays/ TDs. The Falcons were also dead last in play action calls in the entire NFL. Plus, their offense was probably the easiest to defend against as it lacked any creativity and vanilla formations. And because the shotgun/pistol was working, Robinson (per his press conference) he kept running it. He should have called plays for what Kirk s best at. No quarterback falls off a cliff in one week other than from an obvious blatant injury (think blue medical tent). Kirk never went into the blue tent. Kirk had TWO 144+ passer rating games (Bucs and Cowboys) in the previous two weeks before he got benched. Again, that tells you that it was play calling. Take out the Charger game (the 4 INTs game was an anomaly for Kirk), his interceptions weren’t any different than any other QB. They were 1, 1, 2, and 1. It looks worse when your play caller doesn’t call for passing TDs.

Graham next to Lawrence followed by an edge setter like Sawyer in 2nd would not only fix the DL, but make it a top 5 defense So yeah, that’s what I would do

I thought his “motion to the backfield” through contact was exceptional. He’s bouncing off people and a lot of times isn’t being slowed down at all, just redirecting off of their momentum, he’s using it to his advantage and comes out the other side at full speed still. Most people can’t do that, they’ll get stonewalled as soon as the center blocks them into the guard. Walker pushes off the guard, runs through the center again and is sprinting into the backfield on a lot of occasions lol. That’s going to translate to the NFL. In my opinion all he needs is a revamp of playing style similar to Chris Carson in Seattle. Seattle should do it again and let Mike MacDonald teach this kid to play angry and use those meat cleavers the way they should be used

He plays a bit upright but he’s a baller. I’d say solid second round. Great personality as well

I am tired of the scouting or scouts saying he looks the part. That goes for anyone. Shemar Stewart looks the part but he can not do the part. He played next to Nic Scourton on the DLine and both of them together didn't get more than 6sacks last year. I am tired of the potential....looks the part crap. My Saints have drafted 3 DEs in the first round in the past 6 years and they were all look the part potential trash picks. Davenport, Peyton Turner, and Isaiah Foskey. Sick of it. Mickey Loomis' approach to draft picks is probably part of the reason why we can not get a coach to take the vacancy
