The original cast will always stand out for me but the cast here did a pretty nice job. I find it interesting to me that the kid actors in Willy Wonka took different career paths after the movie was shot. I think only one of them was in the business for a bit longer. As for the kid actors in Charlie, they’re pretty present to today’s world and still continued acting
