See them all!!! Are they GETTING ALONG?
Hi, both are lovely clean tanks, but I'm curious as to why you haven't been tempted to add any corals
I work away from home for 4-6 weeks at a time. I’ve had many tanks before with lots of beautiful corals from SPS to softies (My favourite was the canister reef there are videos on the channel if you are interested). This is just much easier and the reason they even still exist is because we were attached to the clownfish after 8 years the black and white ones are part of the family.
@natalbreefing5934 that makes sense keeping things simple with your travelling. Marine aquariums can certainly take up a lot of time, I will definitely look at your channel 👍 Just a trip to the LFS for me can be an expensive few hours 😁
Which pax bellum model is this ?
Is your pax bellum still running after all these years passed ?
I've also went bare bottom now during the week. Corals and fish are very happy. Are you in the Durban area? KZN?
So do you not recommend Dino X to get rid of dino ?
I have a two pink clownfish, peach is my larger soon to be female and daisy will be my newer male I just did freshwater dip on daisy today and his tank mate ( a small bicolor angel) didn’t make it due to shock :( oh well you win and lose, well I’m so excited to introduce my clowns together tomorrow, I feel like daisy finally got rid of the fluke issue and I did a tank transfer after doing the FW dip and I saw no signs of searching so it feels safe to say I can put him in the DT it’s been since December I got peach so I’m very excited to give him a new boyfriend and see peach make his change into a girl 😂💖
Look nice
How long does the ATO last?
What is the tank volume?Do you add bacteria?
update ?
Yo this vid saved my sps haha. Almost started dosing Dino x. Thanks for posting this
He said the Dino x didn’t kill the sps was already happening before the Dino x was probably from parameters stress or to much algae stole nutrients from the sps
When you do the treatment did you keep your lights on or off
Question do u leave it on during the day or after 10pm? How long u leave it on for?
Thanks for putting this up. My little clown has been alone for a couple of years now and I was a little worried about adding another one. I'll definitely going use your advice.
hi.
I eliminated this similar issue with my bellum via 1, disallow any light source during daylight into the top part using a dark piece of cloth. 2 , I stopped excessive powder food dosing or reef roids Success.
Hi Which fish feeder are you using (that neon green colour)?
What happened to that big tank you had?
Sold it due to life changes. Big decision but unfortunately it had to be done.
Get a small painters brush shorten the brush part so it can be a little stiff and brush the algae with that every time u see it that way is small enough for the crabs and snail to go munch on it eventually will end up dying, love the nanos reminds me my twin cities
Thanks for the tip. I will definitely do that going forward. I should probably add more CuC too.
Thanks for sharing the update. The tanks look lovely next to each other like that. I wonder what happened to cause the torch to disintegrate . Did it look lush, puffy n good in the store? Can you get your results for Ca:Mg?
Ca was around 420 and the mag I don’t know to be honest. It was a bit retracted in the store but the owner said he had just handled it so I believed him. Maybe next time I’ll choose differently. 👍🏾👍🏾
Great update on the tanks! The corals are all looking so beautiful, clearly you possess a definitive knack for maintaining thriving reef ecosystems. Love it 🙌
Thanks so much for watching the videos and thank you for the nice comments.
Should you turn uv off with this?
I’m not sure mate. I don’t have a UV and I don’t think the instructions say anything about turning off the UV maybe check with the manufacturer or ask on FB?
That hammer garden is sick
Thanks mate. It is a really nice little piece.
Nice tanks mate, you could end up back at a big tank if your not careful
Watch this space mate. Delivery in March. Hahaha
Nice man. Good to see that the clowns are still kicking!!
Hahaha. Yeah. I was super irresponsible with them (the orange ones) when I did the dettol dip for the corals. The black and white ones have been great for nearly 5 years now.
@@natalbreefing5934 😂😂😂
👍
Beautiful
Thanks for watching.
Is there enough room for cables to come out of the tank past the jump net? Looks a quite tight. These aquariums do look awesome
Hey mate. I never used anything with cables coming out of the tank so I’m not sure. There did seem to be a little space all round if needed though. Also I replaced the factory net cover with a custom from NVS AQUARIUMS which was boss.
@@natalbreefing5934 oh right cheers 👍
Looks great man! How do you find that dottyback with your clowns? I've always wanted one of them, but heard they're pretty aggressive haha
I’m the beginning there was some serious aggression and the two clowns turned on each other but now after 4-5 months everyone is chill.
Might not have noticed the sticker on front?
Not sure I understand bro. I haven’t watched this video in years.
Looks nice
Thanks buddy.
Definitely a good looking tank.
All thanks to the sicce nano and the flat worm Rx
Isn't coral Rx mostly tea tree oil
To be honest I have no idea. The detol worked. I just made it too strong and didn’t rinse the coral off properly.
@@natalbreefing5934 at least your invented new way i guess, I remember detol bath as kid for chicken pox bet Coral RX can't claim that fame LOL
🤣🤣🤣
@@cheekonv haha i used to have the same detol bath after rugby games, all the ruck marks on the back needed cleaning. Hurt like hell haha
What’s happened to the Cade?
I sold it all in one package mate. I was working away from home for so long and wasn’t sure if it was gonna be feasible to keep it.
Wow!! Looking great!!! I'm amazed it came back so well and very quick! Well done. :-)
I’m really lucky. I’m not sure I did too much to make it work out well. Just lucky I guess.
Well done, am amazed it can back so well, what happened with the star fish?. Enjoying the vids as I’m stuck in hotel quarantine and not gotten to my tank for some time now
Hey mate I’m really impressed with this little work horse tank. It’s got nothing on it and I’ve never tested anything. Glad to give you something to do! Haha. I took the starfish back to the rock pools over the road.
So how is the situation with flat worm, I hope none left after that event,
Still a few on the coral… about 80% better. Gonna treat the tank with flatworm rx. This week.
@@natalbreefing5934 I didn't realise you sold the cade, i also have a 1500S2
It’s an amazing tank.
Worth the try. Glad the fish made it nice to see u back at it
Thanks bro. I got very lucky.
Beautiful spot
😱 EEK oh dear ! If dipping doesn’t work, these kinds of photosynthetic flatworm outbreaks can be managed with in tank flatworm treatments such as Salifert Flatworm RX etc. They aren’t as common as wrasse alternatives but Talbot’s damsel are also used to eradicate them with success.
Thank you for always trying to help. I tried something that backfired!
Oh noooo...bummer for sure!
Indeed it is.
Which beach do you get the sea water from?
The rock pool during high tide at Flynn’s Beach.
Beautiful nano!! Love the starfish. I've never had one. Lucky you I'll say again!!
Thanks Melanie. He may go home soon if he looks like he wants to eat things.
@@natalbreefing5934 👍
point and shoot works. new sub saw ur comment on reefdude
Thanks mate! I’ve been upload for like 4 years I think. My style hasn’t changed in that time. 🤣
Ambitious hermit crab! 🤣 It’s a beautiful tank! Keep an eye on that starfish 🤞
I will definitely. If it looks like it has an appetite for the gonis I’ll take him home.
This tank makes me want to set up a nano. Cam
Wow! Day made! Thanks for watching Cam!
Could the dino x effect the SPS
I don’t think so, I remember the process was clearly beginning before I started the treatment. That was devastating for me when that tank crashed.
100m walk from the beach!? How good is that. When I had my nano-reef I also had no idea what the parameters were, just seemed to look after itself
Seems to be working for now. I had another little tank that I just did large water changes every week and it was nearly bullet proof.
Looks like a rock flower nem mate
I didn’t know those were in Australian waters?!
@@natalbreefing5934 apparently so, albeit pretty rare. Funnily enough it could also be a type of majano rock flower nem, as there’s one at my LFS that’s on a Christmas tree worm rock and they reckon it could be a majano 😂
I’m sure it’s just a pest anemone of some sort. Will try kill it with the lemon juice or boiling water tactic.
Looks great! You make Reefing seem so simple! The corals are really loving it . First hitcher Looks like … a Fungidae? Second is a pest anemone of sorts
Thank you so much for answering my questions! This tank has never had any parameter tested at all. Just “maintain” salinity but topping off manually. Also water changes weekly with a bucket I fill up in the rock pools over road!
