I am from Austria. There was no Johnny Carson on TV when I grew up. Later I heard his name, referenced in TV shows that had nothing to do with the tonight show. Only through TH-cam did I get a chance to enjoy Johnny Carson.

Gilda complained for almost a year about fatigue, pain in her upper legs, and swelling in her abdomen, but multiple doctors brushed it off as chronic fatigue syndrome or her just being a "high-strung, emotional, nervous girl". She had a family history of ovarian cancer, and her father died of a brain tumor when she was 14 as well. Still today, women are not taken seriously by their doctors.

Before The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson there was Arthur Godfrey's Talent Scouts, The Steve Allen Show, The Dorsey Brothers' Stage Show, and The Ed Sullivan Show. From '62 to '92, Johnny Carson was the king of late night television. At the beginning of every show, Johnny's loyal second banana Ed McMahon heralded Johnny's arrival in his familiar way, and was the amiable and relaxed set-up guy for Johnny's famous one liners. From '62 to '92, Johnny, Ed, and their company helped lay the foundation for contemporary topical humor in the US. During those years, the most significant pitches for movies, books and live appearances on the part of actors, authors, politicians and every other kind of luminary came before America and the world at Carson's desk. From '62 to '92, there were less than a dozen television channels on the air. The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson probably experienced an unrepeatable level of success.

Beautiful women who respect each other! And lovely for them to have shared. Jamie Lee seems to have stayed true to the advice of staying true to WHO SHE IS. She writes children books and will perhaps a little to often appears on talk shows? However I rarely see talk shows so I'm not an expert or one who should even mention that. I haven't seen most of her movies as was never a fan of SCREAM's or even the kinds she often has appeared in. Love to have heard however she has continued to show up in Halloween or that genre just for kicks no doubt. What caught my eye was the respect between the mother daughters adult relationship. Really cool and precious at the same time. Jamie Lee's going to make a great MOM and from what I gather she has.

Hartman wasn't in the least bit good in this interview. Sounds unprepared thinking up questions never probing asking follow ups. Just gawd awful and boring. He was an actor not a journalist. Who the what hired this guy as GMA host? Should have just stuck to his original call in life. Hartman was more appreciable as an actor.

Just watching the late great Phil who passed yesterday interviewing jamie Leigh & her late mother back in 1985. Such a thoughtful host especially how he enquired then almost apologised if he pried to much into Janet Leigh's relationship with her own mother compared with that with her daughter Jamie Leigh. Two fun ladies. I'm' sure jamie Lee Curtis will reflect a little having heard the news on Phil's interviews with her over the years. I wonder whether she'll reflect back to this one & perhaps shed a tear watching her mother talk with younger her. That's how life goes, our parents sometime pass & we have to continue on. The familiar feelings of the relationship disappear & we're in a new emotional terrain as distance comes with the lack of physical presence interaction with us.

The only reason we found my twin sister's was because her tumor was so big it made her look pregnant. It took us two days from discovering the tumor to her getting removed. Thankfully, they caught it at stage 2. Screenings was what caught it returning. All that it took was a total hysterectomy and 3 rounds of prevention chemo. She's about to celebrate 5 years of complete remission.
