Worlie, as a division 1 college runner and boxer, sees keeping fit as a tool for stress release, which makes lots of sense, especially in his career as a Police Officer. Worlie also applies scripture to his personal life and career which makes even more sense.

David is a great example of how your life decisions impacts your children. Davids love for rowing was copied by 2 of his 3 children resulting in a college rowing scholarship. David embraces a disciplined life which rowing entails and this often transfers to those we love. David is also a generous man having allowed me to use his skull for my masters race.

Clive is another great example of "Redefining Aging" and agrees with me that the indoor rowing machine is the best training tool out there. Clive is an avid runner and cyclist who missed the 2023 Huntsman due to cycling accident resulting in a broken leg but because he maintains a high degree of fitness his recovery was swift.

I had the pleasure and privilege of meeting Urs in person in 2014 when I was exploring sculling. Beyond being a gentleman and a mentor he guided me as to what rowing shell might be best for me. We met at NB park and he helped me demo a couple of options. I was concerned for him after Helene and Milton and I hope he and his wife have weathered these Hurricanes and he’s back rowing as soon as possible. 🚣🏻♂️ 🚣🏻♂️🚣🏻♂️

It is possible to get back into swimming as an adult/ begin as an adult and masters swimming has the fun and the competition for motivation without the pressure and twice per day training. Hopefully, in future, more swimming clubs will cater for adults thus giving more people the opportunity to benefit.

Great Job mom!
Fasting for 4 days at your age becomes a problem for bone density loss. You risk greater chances of fracture if you fall or take even a moderate hit (like breaking your toes on the table leg you didn't see on the way to the bathroom). And with all those acidic juices your kidneys will think it's a stick-up! Drink milk or Ensure to keep calcium levels up during a fast.
Tim is an inspiration on many fronts and was a blessing for me to interview. Anyone can benefit from listening to his story
