individual instruments volumes are well balanced in this version. but i think the tempo on some of the live versions is better, a little bit faster than this. anyways this is the smoothest song ever. it flows like a river.

Very few can make the guitar speak, watching Mark Knopfler talk about his guitars makes it a look so easy. I wish we had more of this stuff around these days instead of the drivel that is pumped over the airwaves.

Johnnie 'Guitar' Watson is another guitarist that was on the scene around the time of Jimi Hendrix and even before and after, so if any of you want to hear some guitar out of this world with some blues and funk Johnnie is your man. As far as I am concerned Johnnie has to be in the conversation because he played all the instruments plus he sang just like Hendrix and his shit was original he doesn't sound like anyone else.
