I managed to import the map with the textures but the lighting is completely different and looks like an unlit map with no shadows, even though I am previewing with it lit, any help?

The indoor areas look good. The outdoor is fucked up though. The lighting seems to ignore the skybox so instead of blue indirect lighting you're getting a neutral gray.
i don't quite understand this so unreal engine is better for cs 2? How come? i always thought source 2 is much better for games like counter strike. How does unreal engine make things more real? Why haven't valve already implemented these things by themselves?
as far as graphical realism goes these visuals are a sidegrade. the big difference is performance. with the lighting and shadow techniques of Unreal Engine you can expect only a fraction of the framerate you would get in CS2. and the framerate in CS2 is already only a fraction of what it really should be; the game has had serious performance regressions over the last few patches.

How do you get the maps into unreal
Source filmmaker seems to crash on me every time I select player models or similar. Any ideas why this may be? (I have a good PC)
Me too, have you solved it yet? I can open the Workshop Tools, but clicking on S2FM causes it to crash.
