That is not why you are getting capcha. You are getting them because your IP is shared among hundreds of other people so if you want them to stop the only way to do that with pia is to pay extra and get a dedicated IP..

very outdated apk for android tv or firestick ...no kill switch no split tunnel no auto start on boot ,nothing basicaly speed is average and their wireguard config don't support google tv so avoid at all cost...this company wouldn't invest in creating a responsive and modern interface app

PIA SUCKS! They may be cheap, but you get what you pay for. And here's the kicker; if you happen to be connected to a VPN when you try to subscribe, not only will they decline your payment without even trying to run it, they will then flag the email you tried to use to sign up and block all further attempts to subscribe even if when you aren't connected with a VPN. Then they will blame it on your credit card or whatever payment you used, sending you down a rabbit hole chasing a problem they created. And their support agents are clueless. This is from there support page: - VPN/proxy use: If the IP address tied to the payment is associated with a VPN/proxy service, this may have caused the transaction to be flagged, and the email address used to be blocked from further payments. A VPN provider that blocks you if you use a VPN? The irony is ridiculous.

Is it worth getting Mozilla VPN? I have decided to use Firefox as my daily driver as I want to support a non Chromium based browser. Speed is good for my use case as well. I love the extension support in the mobile version as well

Don’t let the cheap price fool you and sucker you into buying it. I did, and I now regret it. Ivacy's website is broken. The Server Location search bar page, is broken and nonfunctional. Their Manual Configuration download page, is completely broken. Forget about picking a city server near you and getting Wireguard or OpenVPN config file from that page. Their Support Page section has old, out-of-date OpenVPN config files in a zip file that don't work and are 4-5 years old at least. I've complained endlessly about these issues, but I only get canned responds and nothing gets fixed. If they can't manage their own website, how can they manage a VPN network. Don't fall for the cheap price and fake 4-5 star reviews. This VPN is a joke.

This shit is a VIRUS. It constantly makes popups for me every time I turn it on and it acts as bloatware if I'm not using it 24/7. I'm trying to uninstall it rn and it's not doing anything.

DO NOT buy their 3-year plan. DON’T!!! I really dislike the fact I have to write negative reviews about companies that I once loved. PIA falls into that category. I have been using their service since January 2021 and until May 2023 I was a happy customer. Let me tell a bit about the background story. As mentioned above since January 2021 I’ve been using PIA VPN. In the first two years, I purchased their 1-year plan for AUD 56.00 then at the beginning of this year (Two years later since I first purchased my first subscription) I thought, “why not save money and purchase their 3-year plan for just AUD 110.00)? THAT WOULD TURN OUT TO BE A VERY BAD DECISION. So, what happened? One day in May this year I was doing a simple Google search as always when I started getting Captchas requests (Those requests asking you to prove that you are not a robot). It’s ok to get those requests every now and then. However, this time, things were different. EVERY single search that I do nowadays I need to wait at least 1 to 2 minutes filling up captchas to prove I’m not a robot. Do you have any idea how annoying and inconvenient that is? If you don’t wait until your boss asks you to QUICKLY research for something on the go and you can’t do it quickly enough because your low-quality VPN provider triggers captchas request every single time. THE WORST PART… The worst part about all of this is that when I reached out to PIA customer support team I was told that they couldn’t do ANYTHING regarding captcha request (they tried to provide a useless solution which was to change the server but it didn’t work at all). Taking into consideration that the VPN wasn’t performing as expected I decided to request a pro-rata refund (for the days I haven’t used it) and I was promptly told that PIA VPN don’t refund any of your money after the first 30 days of your subscription. That’s right folks. Their 30-days risk free marketing is pretty useless if you buy a 3-year plan (I still have 2.5 years of subscription and the problem hasn’t gone away since May). I couldn’t emphasize this enough. DO NOT COMMIT TO ANY OF THEIR LONG-TERM PLANS. DO NOT make the same mistake I did. Now I am stuck with this extremely sub-par VPN and they can’t even issue me a pro-rata refund. That’s a great lack of consideration for a long-term customer. My wife uses NORD VPN and she has never had a problem with it. There are plenty of others more reliable and more customer focused VPN providers out there. Choose another provider. I hope my disappointing experience with PIA vpn ends up saving many readers of this review from signing up with this company.
