Car Photography POV with Toyota Supra + Sigma Art 105 f1.4
I have recently gotten my hands on the Sigma Art 105mm F1.4. This video I will be primarily showcasing it by shooting my buddies Toyota Supra MK5. This was my first time using this lens. After this shoot I approve this lens and will be keeping it in my camera bag from this day forward.

Today we have some fun filming some epic cars including an Audi R8, bmw G80 m3 competition, and a BMW M5 competition. We also capture high quality audio with my zoom h4 essential paired with the rode m5 microphones. Everything was filmed on the Sony a7iv with the 24-70 sigma art f2.8 lens and I definitely don't recommend doing filming from the back of a truck haha. Everything is for entertainmen...

POV Phone Car photography vs Professional Sony Mirrorless Camera
มุมมอง 7706 หลายเดือนก่อน
Pixel 8 pro vs Sony a7iv Today we will be comparing a modern day smart phone camera system against a professional grade Sony Mirrorless Camera. Of course the Sony is king, however, how difficult is it to spot the difference between the two? watch the video for yourself and you be the judge. If you have any video suggestions leave them in the comments. thank you Instagram @MD.photography.sc

What polarizer are you using?
Amazon basics
Insane Edits Bro, do you have your own Presets on your Page to buy `? i would buy them right now ! ;D
Thank you, and no I'm still trying to work on creating a good collection of presents. Never really thought of selling them. Maybe when the channel gets a bit more traction I'll think about it haha.
howd you find this location? looks really cool
Gotta have good map knowledge. Ask people around about unique places, and do some scouting. Get to know your area and explore new opportunities.
Hey, what kind of filters are you using?
Really the only 2 lens filters I use are an nd for filming and then cpl for photography.
@ the CPL is what I’d like to know. I don’t have one and I need to get one for that type of thing.
Definitely a cpl filter cuts out reflections and is a must have especially for automotive photography
@ which one did you go with ?
Honestly it doesn't matter all that much. Whatever brand works
the pictures you show after you take them, are they edited or raw?
Edited
Are you using some kind of log profile? Really like your pics and pov. It's nice that you put some info on every Pic.
So from each shoot I try to either create a preset or make my own depending on the conditions I'm shooting in. After that I implement that present throughout the entire album to have a consistent look making minor adjustments to each photo where needed. I like to include the settings to each photo I shoot so people can get an idea where to start.
I have a canon r50 with kit lens love the photos but low resolution and slightly blurry I use ur setting what do I do (iso 100 shutter 1/80 or more
Increase your shutter speed perhaps. Maybe you have shaky hands and it causes some motion blur. Try using different focus modes if your camera has that option. Hope this helps. The settings I use are not meant to be used in every situation. Gotta be flexible to adjust and adapt to different environments.
@@MDPHOTOGRAPHY-wb3xf I use 1/80 or more usually at 1/320
@@MDPHOTOGRAPHY-wb3xf yeah
love your edits. do you use tone curve at all?
Hard to say but it's a good idea to play around with the tone curves if you feel that it'll enhance the photo.
hey man. love the work. angles feel bland but everything else is consistent. love it
At car meets it's very difficult to work around all the people and really get creative with the angles. If it's a solo shoot then I have more freedom to work around different angles.
Love the video! What do you use to record the pov?
I use the DJI osmo action 4
@@MDPHOTOGRAPHY-wb3xf thank you!!
I never see Delorean's at car shows or cruise ins. Most of the time when i see one it's a museum. There is one parked at a house on a back road near me. I want to take pictures of it but it would be kinda weird to knock on their door asking to take pictures lol.
where is bmw picture
15:17
Post again man i miss your posts
Haha yeah I need to get back to it. I'm going to get back into making more content hopefully soon. Have a few jobs I'm doing on the side. Weddings/shoots for clients.
@@MDPHOTOGRAPHY-wb3xfok 👍🏼
Ok
What exposure compensation should i use for car photography
Really depends on lighting conditions. My suggestion is to use correct exposure even if it means using higher values.
Nice I follow you from Romania🙌🏻
Appreciate it brother 🙏
insane work man
You the man 💪
16:54 the Porsche looks so happy 😭
what chest strap do you use?
Honestly I don't know. It was some cheap strap I bought from Amazon.y
I was there!!
That's awesome man hopefully you'll see me around the next event
what white balance setting do you use ? also keep the vids up they're mazing
It really depends on the lighting conditions. I change it accordingly. I can't say one will fit all scenarios.
@@MDPHOTOGRAPHY-wb3xf ahh ok ty tho im shooting on a canon 50d hopefully ima get a m5 or m5 mkII
@@nessiedt interesting choice. What reason are you going for those specific cameras?
Thanks for the tip brother I found a Sony a7ii like u said and it’s only 500$ with 1037 shutter count and it comes with a couple lenses aswell as batteries and charger so I’m gonna get that soon
Heck yeah man sounds like you got a great deal on it. Hope you enjoy the camera brother and it serves you well 🙏
Do you film in auto focus or manual? Auto ISO or Change it each time? cause i see it change alot.. should i change the shutter speed and apt? or should i just film in auto? Although Pics are so fire bro.
I use auto focus, but I use different types of focusing points.I shoot in manual mode always. Iso I usually set it to auto during the day and just control my shutter speed and aperture. Definitely if you are a beginner learn how to use it by changing it yourself. I have a great video on that. Hope this helps
@@MDPHOTOGRAPHY-wb3xfThanks bro, im buying the canon 2000d with a 50mm 1.8. Do you have any suggestions to do with it? And any comments about it?
I am not a huge fan of the canon budget cameras especially once you get to learn camera basics. It's a very limiting piece of equipment. My recommendation as I recommend to all new camera enthusiasts is to get a used Sony a7ii with some prime lenses of a marketplace such as Facebook or ebay. The cost is a bit more upfront but you get so much more for your money.
We have the same camera setup so you know he has good taste, love the vids bro keep it up
Cheers brother. Happy to see some Sony family around here haha!
I just remembered I had a question so do u think for my first camera is a canon 50d slr camera good?
For a first camera I would say it is definitely good enough. However if you have the option to get a Sony a7ii that is the camera I would recommend. Much better low light performance and overall image quality. Hope this helps.
ez I made it 42nd viewer
amazing shots mate
Thank you brother 🤙
hey brother do you shoot in raw or jpeg?
Raw
What camera do u have if u don’t mind me asking
Sony a7iv
GREAT BROO>>> THANKS
Absolutely brother 🙏
the tutorial I needed to see because I've been slacking on my car photography! I'm gonna put these tips to good use
Love to hear it brother. Happy to help out!
those pics are clean😮 and are there any cheaper alternatives to the Sony that you can recommend? greetings from germany btw
Thank you brother 🙏 Love to hear it. A more budget friendly alternative is the Sony a7ii they go for a lot cheaper on used marketplaces and still have amazing quality with the full frame Mirrorless sensor. Hope this helps.
@@MDPHOTOGRAPHY-wb3xf ye thx man that really helped me
what our your settings on the a7iv,
Under each picture I have the exact settings in the lower left corner 👍
Clean pics👌🏼
Thank you brother 🙏🙏
The fact that someone engine swaped a mazda MX5 or whatever and gave it a Corvette engine is CRAZY!
how do you find people like this who own these and where are you sitting to film all tis
Just go to car meets, make some friends. I'm sitting in a truck. I don't advise doing this lol.
Wonderful shots brother🔥
Thank you brother 🙏
awsome pics very relatable the way you make sure to get every car and take the oppertunity when cars are driving ect nice work keep it up you earned yourself a sub to
You are the man. Thank you brother 🙏. Car meets can definitely be somewhat chaotic, I personally like doing individual shoots more with more control over the environment haha. But it definitely challenges you as a photographer to make the most out of every car you are photographing at these meets!
Love that video. Nice shots btw. Can you show us your presets?
Thank you for the kind words ❤️ I made a dedicated video on how I edit some of my photos if you want to check that out.
Also bro love the vid but what kind of camera is it and where is this?
Love to hear it man. I used the Sony a7iv +Sigma Art 24-70mm F2.8. This was in boiling springs South Carolina.
@@MDPHOTOGRAPHY-wb3xf the $2,400 sony a7iv? And is it full frame
Yessir that's the one. If you are on a tight budget I would recommend getting the Sony a7ii or a7iii. They are also really good full frame cameras with a lot of great features. I personally started with the a7ii, before upgrading to the a7iv
@@MDPHOTOGRAPHY-wb3xf thank you so much i Subbed
@@MDPHOTOGRAPHY-wb3xf does the a7ii still take good care of pics would you say
Amazing shots😮💨
Couldn't be possible without your amazing car 😩
What made you choose to shoot at F5 at the beginning of the video?
Good question. It's all about depth of field. A higher aperture such as f5-f7.1 allows less light into the camera however your depth of field is also increased. I had multiple subjects I was trying to get in frame. I wanted them to be in focus and not blurred in my background. A wide open aperture like f1.4 or f2.8 would only keep the first subject in focus while blurring the other ones behind it. Hope this helps 😉
Hey man what camera body is this?
Sony a7iv
the face reveal I wasn't expecting 🎉 nice to see the face behind the name
Haha I've shown my face in other vids too
Congrats mate! Got some really nice shots there
Thank you brother 🙏
keep going bro, nice photography, what do you use lens?
Love to hear it brother 🙏. I use the Sony a7iv + Sigma Art 24-70mm f2.8 in this video
Thx man, extremely helpful, earned a sub
You're welcome brother! Happy to help out. Appreciate the sub!! 🙏🙏
To the Point. Keep it up!
Yessir you're the goat 💪💪
6:46 fucking awesome
good photos brother, Tip :- use a Polarizing Filter next time and if you want to shoot with auto iso please set it from iso100 to iso800, and for the most part you don't need to use auto iso in day time. just use manual.
No way you just said get a polarizer 🤣 if you watched the video you will see me using a polarizer dawg. I do a lot of night photography so my auto iso is set to 12800. I'm not afraid of going over 800 iso Sony is built different son. The auto iso is convenient in this environment so I can get quick shots and move on without worrying about exposure. Next time watch the full video before making "tips"
@@MDPHOTOGRAPHY-wb3xf sorry bro my bad i shouldn't have commented in the first half of the video.
Apology accepted, you have my respect 💪
good job! Epic meet!
