My business mainly does local repairs, but I am planning to expand into mail in orders in the coming future.

Fixing Two Singing Stuffed Children's Toys
Two of my daughters toys that sing when you squeeze them broke and she begged me to fix them. Since they weren't designed to have the batteries replaced ever I had to get a little creative to get it working.

Have a GameBoy you want fixed or modded send me a message through my website (bradyrepairs.com) and we can discuss cost and shipping. Fixing a Joy-Con with a Broken R Button
มุมมอง 113K4 ปีที่แล้ว
Want to get your game console or controller fixed? Check out my prices at BradyRepairs.com I got this Joy-Con from a friend of mine who attempted to repair the broken R button with some super glue. It turns out the traces were ripped off the board and I had to solder to some of the test points on the board to fix it. There is also an explination of how to remove the superglue in the middle of t...
Fixing a Sony tripod with damaged legslocks
มุมมอง 344 ปีที่แล้ว
I bought a new to me tripod to use for filming and when it got here it had some damage to the plastic clamps on the legs. I decided to try my hand at plastic welding to see if that would fix the problem Facebook: bradyrepairs Website: BradyRepairs.com

Fixing a PSone with no video or audio output
มุมมอง 13K4 ปีที่แล้ว
Find out about getting your consoles fixed at BradyRepairs.com Facebook: bradyrepairs This PSone didn't have any audio or video output so after some diagnosing and testing it turns out it was just some bad capacitors. Instead of doing the recap off camera I decided to bring you along to see how it's done. Get your PSone cap kit at console5.com
Could you use Comet instead?
Where did he get the "barkeepers friend" compound?
I bought a used SNES & Mario world, Mario time machine, Yoshi island, & all stars. Mario world is only one that comes to screen. 2 of them has black screen, then one doesn't even read. Imbc of timing on older TVs should I buy a converter for HD?
I'm here because my daughter came crying to me that her Octavius the Storytelling Owl no longer works when you press his foot lol. I'm going to try fixing it like this. Thank you!
Hey i found something very useful for game cartridges that might interest you.
does this work with the oled model joycons cuz the points are a little diffrent
What about when it won't go passed the menu 😢
I didn't know when I started but now you need an original 🎮! For some games...but also clean the sh1t too....but original controller too!
that's exactly right! I had the problem with bad audio, video was ok, but I have to say after replacing them all, all 17 capacitors, the video improved significantly! the disc drive worked better and the games are read just like normal! awesome video
Great job. I have a problem with psone: starts up, black screen, glitchy sound from the first (withe) intro, and that's it. Getting ready to replace the capacitor
I had this little stuffed Bob the tomato VeggieTales toy and it had a button on it and when you pressed it, it would say that God made you special line that he always says at the end of all the VeggieTales movies and unfortunately Bob’s battery died and my grandma did the exact same thing. She was able to open up the toy and change the batteries in it. My brother and I used to always say that she was performing surgery on the stuffed animals. It was pretty ironic because my grandma was in the medical field But she also loved doing arts and crafts and she knew how to sew. There was another singing toy that she performed her special surgery on and put a little piece of Velcro where the battery pack was. My grandma passed away last year and I miss her very much.
Sorry to hear about your Grandma mate
@@kylewright5047 I finally learned how to sew and I recently performed a battery changing surgery on my gunt prayer bear
Can I ask you a question about a nostalgic toy from the mid 2000's?
Wow, thanks, I had had a GB pocket sitting for a while, I was wondering if it blue a fuse. I checked it, it showed a reading but, I did just put a temp jumper there to test and she booted right up. Thanks. This has been sitting on my desk for a while and now I will have it working again.
I have the same issue, but my microswitch is totally loose and just rests on a little divot on the board. I can't seem to get it secured like yours appears to be. Is it supposed to be loose, or can I do something to secure it?
What is that toy called
Man I know this is 3 years old but thanks!
I also hate when they sew the battery inside but I would have suggested velcro for the future
Sadly mine has game sounds, even can hear options being selected but the screen remains blank , it isn't burned like I see on other channels though so :/
4:22 Woah how did you do that???
I need to know that too, because that was insane to me lol
❤❤Good video bro!!! Where do you get the game cartridge screwdriver??
I just map r to t he stick button
What was the solution you use, BRASSO?
Can I use solder instead of wires
i fixed it thanks
5:50 heh, something armchair commentators don't understand-it's so much harder working on tiny things with a camera between you and the work!
If the pads are fine can I just solder or glue gun the piece back on?
Don't use a glue gun it won't make an electrical connection. If the pads are fine resoldered the original or a new button. The two pads on the sides of the button are anchors and their whole purpose is to add structural support to the button.
@@bradyrepairs7735 thanks for that. Are they originally soldered on because they're fairly weak it seems. Do I soldered the little side parts also?
@@raycarey21 yes solder the side parts as well those are anchor points for strength. One of the negatives of the lead free solder everyone uses now is its fairly brittle compared to the old school leaded stuff. For alot of applications it's fine but for buttons like this that get knocked around its not as strong because of the brittlness.
@@bradyrepairs7735thanks again. That answers it. Wonder why they chose lead free for such an application. They're expensive enough to buy so should be more solid. Great video
@@raycarey21 There's international agreements to use lead free solder because leaded solder will leach lead into the ground water over time if it is thrown into a landfill. It's all part of being rohs complient and was done with good intentions regarding the environment. It just has the negative of its harder to work with lead free and it has different properties that make it potentially more prone to failure.
Have two of these I need to attempt. Thank you for this, even if I don't get it done it's good knowledge to have.
Great video. Would you happen to know what is going on with the PS1 when it outputs blue and green but no red on the video? The playstation logo at the titlescreen looks green on my SCPH-9001. Thanks!
My pcb broke... and I don't have a soldering tool... what do I do now 😭
Thanks for this video really helpful I have the exact problem on one I’m trying to fix. What kid of cable do you use to make the connections
I have the same issue ! I cleaned with alcohol and nothing! So what is that compound liquid that you used! It might help my game!
BKF, Bar Keeper's Friend; It comes in both liquid and powdered variants.
Thanks!
I replaced the capacitors as well but the PSone only makes it past the Playstation logo and then goes blank. The TV displays no signal, but music CDs are playable. Could it be the laser lens?
the same problem happened to my ps one
Could always test for continuity on that fuse instead of guessing too
Hey I have a really important question and I would like you to help me. I have a Super Nintendo game (Aladdin) and the game works but when you load it some things on the display is missing. For example, some letters are missing and when you actually play the game the Aladdin character doesn’t show up and the game doesn’t work after that. I don’t know what to do or how to fix it but it used to work a couple years ago. Is the film gone or is it something else? I really don’t know so can you help me out. Also I have a bunch of other games that won’t load as well.
I have a similar issue all my games load just fine but the only thing thats missing on all of them is the characters in the game. And no one seems to know anything about it.
@@OSIRIS_1994 I have actually managed to make most of my games work. First, I think the main issue was the Super Nintendo itself. When I opened it, it was very rusty and I think it made the chips inside not work. When I cleaned it, it didn’t work because I think the main chip inside (I forgot the name) wasn’t working so I bought an already used Super Nintendo from eBay (it was kind of cheap so I think the owner sold it because the outside was broken and very dirty and old). I switched the mother board and most of the other chips from my original one to the new one I just bought and most of my games actually worked. I also cleaned the the games itself( the part where you insert it into the Nintendo) and it started working. I hoped this helped.
my joycon broke but i cant do any of this so i have to spend 70 of my bday money to get new joy cons pr my bff will MAYBE give me a new joycon bc he has a few
Yo can u fix mine?
Good deal with this simple no nonsense repair. I have a hand full of SNES games I plan to recover and post on my channel. Thanks for sharing and I subbed to ya.
ive done the repair but after assembly none of the buttons woprked anymore, it may just have been bad luck or smth but apperently its a main ic problem so my joycon was just completly broken after this, so i guess im just buying a new right joycon now
Were you able to fix it? The same happened to me, but only the analog stick works
Same
Sorry but I’m just a simple kid. Once I saw a circuit I clicked of the video
Nice
I also hate when they do that
I bought a old fat ps1 (made in 2000), turned it on, played about 5 min and turned it off to change the disc. after that no image and no video. only the led light on. Could be the caps too?
Maybe , u can directly replace the video cpctor or it might be the econder chip , , if u already tried another cable
Exact same issue here, thanks for showing me where to solder!
where I buy the kit of these capacitors just like l could you help me please.
