Hitman 3 was never going to work on standalone quest 3 far too big and demanding a game. Quest 3 couldn't even run san Andreas why on earth were meta thinking hitman 3 could run. Psvr2 version looks fire and all 3 games with proper lighting and character animations, may up being one of the best vr games of all time.

It's really a shame how Hitman 3 Reloaded turned out. Must be extra aggravating now that it's been announced the full trilogy is coming to PSVR 2 with graphics close to the flat version and (seemingly) better VR controls, and for just $10 if you already own Hitman 3. Hopefully those upgrades also make their way to the PC VR version eventually.

The fact no 1 game is now years old sums out why VR is dead... I wish it wasn't, but would that ever happen on 2d gaming that the number 1 title would be number 1 for years on end without ANY updates

some of the best vr games are still beat saber, half-life alyx and so on, after all those years, there is some small games like vertigo 2 but in term of aaa vr titles, that's pretty grim

Batman,Behemoth,Metro:Awakening,Alien Rogue Incursion,Metal Hellsinger and Wanderer all look great.these last few months are gonna be amazing

Hitman from what I can tell has been a flop. Unless they do something great for this upcoming patch, I may get a refund. I'm excited about NFL Pro ear defense.. thats about the most exciting thing yet.

Batman got a positive reception because they are all Meta content creator. And Assasins greed is amazing and heavily underrated its also not a Qeust 3 exclusive it had to run in quest . Its always the same they praise a game or headset until the NDA is iver the they slowly start to complain about things.

I am a HUGE batman fan however i dont have a meta quest 3 so i wouldnt be able to play it. Hopefully it will be possible with airlink cause if not that then the only option i have is sit in my corner and cry.

I’ve got a PC that can play most any game in VR in ultra with my meta quest three. I got to say as cool as it is VR was so late to the game. It’s nothing more than a gimmick, and I’d rather just look at a screen. I’m sure it’s a blast for kids though.

You use words like must play. This topic is much too subjective for that to be true. For example, I personally, would rather have a root canal performed through my nasal passage, than to play any of these games.

Genuinely a massive tech issue. It’s just not possible to make a game with good physics and graphics that’s playable affordably. Half life alyx is what VR games should be not whatever potato graphic quest game that comes out. It’s just boring honestly. Small super quick experiences with very mediocre graphics until the tech arrives that allowed lightweight VR gaming that’s actually graphically impressive and not $400 for a headset and then $1200 for a PC rig for like maybe 7 truly breath taking VR games visually that have little replay ability. VR does not have the tech or the mass appeal and probably won’t for another 15 to 20 years but I’d like to be hopeful VR is something I’ve always been extremely excited for since I was kid.

Another banging list! I loved my time in DRG VR. It's cool that you can still team up and play with your friends even if you're in VR and they're flatscreening. My engineer platforms were a little questionable though

Is Alien Isolation mod still working? I tried to play recently and my character kept crouching up and down making it unplayable. Still working through Rez Evil 7 bit by bit. HL2 was up there with HL Alyx in my opinion and I had never played it flat. The other two I will have to check out. Thanks.

since the hitman 3 vr reloaded release date says summer 2024 i believe it may release august 29th, september 5th, or 12th since summer ends on the 22nd and quest games release on thursdays and multiple games dont release on the same day

Completely understand why Trombone Champ's not the sort of thing that some were hoping for but it is an incredibly good (BAFTA nominated) and popular music game, which Flat2Vr are essentially remaking from the ground up for VR. The reception to it has been very positive as well, with the reveal trailer on ign getting 76k views with 4.5k likes vs only 23 dislikes. People seem pumped for the game.

Almost everyone had unrealistic expectations for Flat2VR. They're a small new studio and they don't have the industry reputation or connections to land a large title right now. There's a big difference between putting out mods without a company's permission/consent and signing deals to make official VR versions of established games. Anyone thinking they were going to land Cyberpunk 2077 right out the gate were delusional, or just don't understand how the games industry works. If their first batch of titles are well made and profitable, it'll open up a lot of doors for them. I thought their lineup was solid considering this. There's nothing at all like Flatout on PSVR 2, and I haven't heard of any action/arcade racers on Quest that would give it much competition either. Wraith looks like it could be fun, but will probably be overshadowed by Metal Hellsinger. Robo Quest is apparently amazing flat and the gameplay looked like it could be fun. And honestly? I'm actually looking forward to Trombone Champ. The flat version is goofy as hell. Could be good for a laugh in VR as long as the price is low enough. As for the showcase as a whole, I think they really shot themselves in the foot by promising a "triple-A VR showcase." If I had to guess, I'd say they wanted to differentiate themselves from other showcases like UploadVR that are crammed full of low budget, low quality indie titles. But they set people's expectations too high. There were some fun looking games in the showcase, but nothing that approaches triple-A quality even by VR standards.

Yeah no one asked for trombone champ. And I feel like Flat2VR needs to get lesser known titles under their belt to build a reputation before bigger studios would feel comfortable giving them bigger name titles.

I try to first find the new games that have native VR in them before I go doing the mods needed to make them VR playable or improved. I also play the games as is before modding them. There are only certain few FPS games I go after and it is too bad that some of the games that have Unreal Engine 4 or 5 do not provide VR in the first place - as you say, laziness. Besides doing some of the Action shooter games, I also do SIM racing games which allot of them are already in native VR. I am just beginning to learn how to use the Injector mod app and try to find existing profiles to try first - I know it is a large learning curve. I agree it is not a true savior for gaming - I can see your direct point of the developers laziness to not make the games in VR in the first place. That said, I shall see how it goes using this injector and try it on games I already have before spending any money on new games - which is a handful of games. Thanks for your video information. I disagree, for me the main selling point aside from VR 🌽 was this mod... granted a few things like VR tennis, Half Life and Skyrim are must plays but enabling VR for games I already own strongly pushes adoption. There should not be VR and non VR games .. every game should have a native VR mode .... then you solve the issue

At this point they need to be selling the psvr2 for about 100 pounds. It’s really not worth anymore than that. Piece of crap that isn’t supported already. Time to just sell for cheap and move on.

I’ve always seen stand-alone and PCVR as the same as a phone and PC. I think PCVR will always be less popular than Meta’s Headsets but PCVR will eventually become more sophisticated and will be the number 1 choice for AAA developers

I absolutely love VR. But I think it has kind of settled down into an "enthusiast market", and honestly I'm okay with that for the time being. Affordability hasn't gone down to serve the average consumer, and due to this there really isn't a market big enough for AAA studios to make VR-exclusive games. And Meta Quest exclusives really only exist because Meta is pumping "life-support money" into the platform. It makes sense that mods has become the way forward on PC, and the community taking development into their own hands. It kind of reminds me of my buddy who is REALLY into flight sim. DCS in particular, he has bought flight sim peripherals for over 2000$ including tobii eye tracking. These things are EXPENSIVE and they do not sell like hot cakes, but there's still an enthusiast market for it and demand is high enough to keep the hardware manufacturer invested. Unfortunately it's low volume production, keeping prices high. And what's keeping DCS alive is the enthusiastic community and 3rd party DLC.

That's crazy considering how much you hate roguelikes
