Anyone can lift the hammer, just like the axe, the thing abt coming back is about the current ownership. When thor died, odin immediately used it to send Thrud away, in that moment until his death he was the owner, after he died Thrud was free to claim it for herself.

@@marionephl haha thanks 😂 for the axe build there's one on my channel. There are just a handful buffs which did it for me.. Final awakening, realm shift, alfheim strike and vanir poison. Went with fury as spartan rage and dauntless shield.. Had tonnes of fun with this one! Definitely worth a try!

As far as I know, in the Norse Myth, Thrud doesn't have many stories revolved around her. This is either a good opportunity as the book is open for possibilities, or there isn't enough material to make a clear variation in game. Time alone will tell for sure.

I don't think it was that he couldn't, being that he was fighting thor, Kratos can lift the hammer but during the fight, Thor commanded the hammer as he threw it at kratos to pin it against Kratos as he was sent flying through the air.
I think it's because thrud had begun wearing mejingord. Which is the magic belt that doubled thor's strength for him to be able to lift mjolnir

@@marionephlSMS explained that the reason they didn’t let kratos use the hammer, is cuz he already has the axe. It literally has the same effect like the hammer. U can throw the axe and call it back like the hammer. Which is a good point. And kratos is not gonna kill Thor to use it, cuz character development.
