มุมมอง 1102 ปีที่แล้ว
This is the first Clarksville Datsun-Nissan-Infiniti Heritage Car Meet - 19 March 2022. Location was at the parking lot of GetSome Coffee, just under 10 minutes away from Fort Campbell. It was about 52 degrees outside. First time attending and driving my S13 to a car meet around Fort Campbell. I was an hour and a half late, so half of the crowd left before I got there. Next meet up is within a ...

    Hey man, at 29:13 there's an orifice on the rack on the left side (the small little hole). Do you know what that is? I refreshed mine and I have fluid coming out of that hole it seems and it's collecting in my boot. That's how it's getting through

    I have to confess I kinda laughed when you shot the ATF across the room... Question for you... how'd you manage to torque the end cap to 50 ft/lbs? Did you end up throwing it in a vice or something? I'm trying to figure out how to manage it on the bench, but I'm not sure how to get the leverage I need without screwing up a machined surface or bending something.

    Did you just hammer out the inner washer that contacts the the inner seal?

    • @ag.3153
      @ag.3153 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No, I utilized a homemade L-shaped puller. Once I removed the inner seal with the puller, the washer (center bushing) easily slides out due to gravity. Ensure not to scratch the inner surface of the rack when extracting the seal.

    Why did is seem like you had to really impact that large nut back in the end of the rack at 18.09?

    • @masterofnone1740
      @masterofnone1740 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jason. It was preference choice so I could get the nut tight enough to the right torque spec, because I didn’t have a vise grip available.

    Great video what are the Metal rings used for that come in the kit?

    • @masterofnone1740
      @masterofnone1740 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks, Nolz10. The metal rings are the clamps for the steering rack boots.

    Thank you! What is the neutral gear in step 1?

    • @masterofnone1740
      @masterofnone1740 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Mason. After installing the gear housing, and measure “rack stroke” on both sides of the shaft to be even. Both sides should measure 68.5mm - measuring from the end of the rack to the end of the part where the tie rod end connect.
