At 29:25 you start free-styling with the synth. I desperately wish I could find videos explaining what exactly is being automated and how (or what knobs are being turned). I think most great melodic music mostly comes down to the automations that create the movement…but there are virtually no videos anywhere showing how to do this. Sure, I can play with decay, delay, reverb, filter, etc., but it never really achieves a long swells or builds like Ben Bohmer, Lane 8, or Rufus Du Sol. I can't keep my melodies or arp interesting over an entire track the way they do...and I'm convinced it has everything to do with automations. I feel like there is some magic technique that nobody is sharing.
