I asked a few windows shops reps if there was a way to replace the foggy condensed sealed glass unit of my bay windows they avoided a straight answer and tried to replace the whole windows. Glad to see its doable and cost effective. and sad to see having less and less honest sellers/installers to tell all the options to replace/repair a failed IGU (didn't know this term as well). Thanks for this great viedo for DIYers or folks willing to hire someone to replace a broken unit.

We have an Andersen a-series gliding patio door installed in the Spring of 2024. We had complained to the installers that it was difficult to open and close, they looked it over and added silicone lube to the rollers. It wasn't much better until I added a high quality silicone dry lube, that helped more... but after watching a couple of videos, including yours, I question if the rollers need adjusting down or up. How would I know which was to adjust them to all the door to move more freely?

But how to fix if the wheel isn't in the track

Pledge works because it has silicone in the formula. That’s why it’s not great for furniture. That silicone builds up and creates a hazy build up.

Thanks so much for posting this. Fixed our issue of our glass sliding door getting stuck when closing and didn’t think of raising the casters. These Andersen doors are quite old and in 21 years of using them, we never had any problems until recently.

You make this process so simple, thank you.

Throw the damn door out and install energy efficient French doors . Due to the rolling feature of the door it’s very energy inefficient even if it’s new. Throw it out you won’t be disappointed you did!

Again ask the question why did the unit break down answer it lies in water. No attempt to test drainage won’t be long before it needs replacing again

but what means in comparation u value of 1 and u value of 2? mean that with U value of 1 I have a reduction of 50% comparing to u value of 2?

Since when are strike plates adjustable after they've been installed. Only 2 of the 4 screws have slots!

We are having a ton of issues with our patio door in our condo that was installed by starline windows. The door was originally leaking and was repaired numerous times until it was finally fully deconstructed and reseated the area. After the fox it never really slid well partly because the tracks are on the outside and so hard to keep clean. Now take a better look and it’s not even on tue track. Super disappointed after all the work that was done to this door

If you don't own a glazing spoon I'd use a scraper or putty knife rather than a chisel less damage to the profile
