Great channel. Im considering CF7 ASX. Im 180cm, 33cm inseam, 52 years old, not flexible. Xanyon suggest a M. But thinking of going S. My current bike is a M/L 2012 Giant TCR and i feel its too long. Do you feel stretched on the M of this bike?

Is it easily switchable between throttle control and assist?

You seem to be grinding? I turn off trainer realism and let the gears be the resistance.The test has me between 80-95 rpm.Also,are you getting enough protein? After finding out what happens to the heart after 50 I've got serious about the weight.At least 1 gramme of protein per kilo of lean body mass and if training 1.6. I'm hoping for 300 watts ftp but that will maybe take 6? months.

just been watching your video re Orbea gain. You mentioned in the video that you purchased it using a blue light card. Where did you buy the bike from?

Fantastic effort and looks like you went all out on that FTP test! I’ve got to do this test as part of a 3 month build up plan in Zwift and I’m dreading it! Have lost a load of weight over winter but, subsequently, have lost a lot of watts from my legs also 😢 You’ll be fighting fit when the spring arrives 💪

I've never done a ramp test, do you have to stay in the same gear all the time

Do you do your training in a garage or shed, if so does it get cold.

Nice effort on your test! You might see FTP increases as you ride on the platform. What are your next steps? Racing? Workouts?

Well done to you, absolutely brilliant effort, i did find that your cadence was really low, peddling that low does take more energy from your muscles which will fatigue your legs much quicker, if your able to why not do a z2 Zwift session for about an hour with cadence between 70 to 80 and see how that goes. It should make it easier for you. I do agree with Johnnyleach below but i would defo start slow and try and get it up to 80 - 90 cadence at stated by johnnyleach...... Keep up the good work your doing awesome

Great job! This is a tough test. Good job keeping the training through the winter. It would help you a lot to get your cadence between 80-90. I can do a lot more work with the higher cadence. Safe training! Happy New Year!

Well done 💯💥 I've tried the FTP test myself a few times, and it's always been really hard at the end! 🥵 I don't know how constructive it is, but what I miss the most when I'm watching your vides, is proper subtitles 😅 As a dane, I sometime struggle a bit hearing/understanding what you say, maybe because you sound a bit British. The auto-generated subs are mostly ok, but for instance Kicker Core are subbed as "kick a car", the CC often gives weird results, when product or place names are spoken. I don't know how many foreigners are watching your videos, and I'm sure you have enough work editing your videos already, but still, I hopy you wellcome feedback. Boy, you did the test very well. Congratulations. This test is not easy and will always break anyone. I would advise you to have a higher cadence, try to keep it at 80 or above. That way you will be lighter, train to get used to this high cadence. I see some experienced cyclists and they are around 100 in cadence. This 2025 will be a lot of training for me too, anyway, let's train and increase the FTP.

Happy New Year! Good effort! I'm no expert (just 2nd year of indoor cycling for me, and 7th of getting into cycling more seriously). But for me it looks like your cadence is quite low. I wonder if it is your natural preference? For me it's easier to maintain my higher power levels with a higher cadence (my avg RPM is over 90). With low cadence (everything lower than 70 RPM) my HR goes up (and the muscles are getting weak) very quickly. I've read somewhere that putting a lot of power with low cadence means that you need a high torque (read force) and it can be bad for my knee joints, and that's something I want to avoid (I'm close to my 50s).

I'm new to indoor. First ride was yesterday. Outside, my cadence is in the 80s, but you were at 60. It's that your normal cadence? Could you increase your cadence and the resistance will compensate?

super effort, i know how tough these tests are.... Well done! was you in erg mode? i see that your cadence was low on the last 1 min effort. I did my last one not in Erg mode, and it was easier to spin a bit faster and keep the power going.

This is a true test video so many Americans on TH-cam on a 750w e bikes flying around flat roads is not a test it's just a run out. Riding up a 25% in the Lakes (the most beautiful place on earth) on a UK Legal E- Bike is how you test one out. Been looking for something to commute to work through Manchester City Centre mostly flat with a nice long run down the side of a Canal into Salford and yes I'm sold and ordered one. Trail looks great but Unfortunately I have to agree with a couple of the comments. No trail in either England or Wales can be considered as the best trail in the UK! Every single trail I’ve done in Scotland is considerably better than anything in England. Would be interested to know if you’ve done any gravel north of the boarder. I live in the midlands and it’s a proper hike to get to anything in Scotland but it’s worth it.

A cadence between 40-45 is way too low. Try to hit around 70-80 if you can and it’s gonna be easier too get up because it’s not gonna be so heavy for the legs. Optimal cadence is 85+.

IThanks for this. I almost clicked to buy one of these when it was first released but at the time it was more expensive, more than double what I ended up getting, without any perceived value for being twice the price. So many good ebike options now though compared to a year or two ago.
