Riding With Royce... IN THE UK! - July 2024 UK Trip, Part 10 (High Wycombe to London Marylebone)
In this tenth and final part of my trip back to blighty, I finish my trip back into the centre of London with the second half of my ride from my hometown of Bicester. Picking up where the previous video left off, I start at High Wycombe station in Buckinghamshire, passing through a handful of other stations in the county before making my way through the western side of Greater London. The Chiltern Railways main line passes through Wembley Stadium station, as do I on this trip, but there's no views to be had of the iconic national stadium unfortunately!

In this final video from my trip back home this summer, I give you the chance to join me on a ride I used to take often - starting in my home town of Bicester in Oxfordshire, through to the town of High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire. This video is a little different to the norm as I take a ride on a really small train! Scarborough's North Bay Railway stretches for less than a mile in the northern part of the town, with each trip taking you between Scalby Mills and Peasholm Park stations. First opened in 1931, the line is a short but thoroughly pleasant ride taking you between the town's northern coastline and the beautiful ...

In this video, I take a whistlestop tour of the beautiful town of Beverley in the East Riding of Yorkshire. I had a little over 20 minutes to kill, but that was enough time to take a walk through the historic town and wind up at the stunning Beverley Minster. I also encounter a close-up operational instance of a level crossing in action! That's right - it's called a level crossing where I'm from!

Love seeing miniature railways, unfortunately I’ve only seen them in Thomas and on TH-cam. Ironically it’s kinda hard to take the MBTA for tourist or amusement trains, can’t go to Edaville and I’m too big for the amusement park, but they are realizing people will go for just the train though. Can’t go to the cape on a regular basis for the cape cod railroad, nor canobie, wish the T would fix that part of itself.

I'm just curious, now that you've ridden both recently, how is British railways disability access compared to MBTA? I see a big gap between that TemsLink train and the platform. Would like to visit Brittan, but that's very very very very unlikely. I'm visually impaired and MBTA is questionable depending on the service, because it's not exactly consistent, not that it matters to me because I know most of the subway, and Commuter rail by heart, bus not so much.
