The game doesn’t do a good job of explaining the fact that the Mephiles who manipulates Silver and the one Shadow pursues are NOT the same being. The Mephiles Shadow pursues is accidentally released by Eggman and spends the game trying to corrupt Shadow whilst also searching for a chaos emerald to eventually join with Iblis. This Mephiles is actually killed by Shadow, Rouge, and Omega at the end of Shadow’s story. The one Silver encounters in the future was already released in the original timeline and transports Silver to the past where he stays throughout the entire game. This Mephiles is A LOT smarter because he doesn’t fully bank on one plan. In fact, this Mephiles mostly uses Silver as a smokescreen whilst he searches for a chaos emerald and is the one who kills Sonic. While people give Sonic 06 A LOT of hate, which it deserves in every aspect except its musical score, I’m going to play devil’s advocate and defend a commonly criticized plot point: Mephiles seemingly using Silver for nothing, considering how easily he is able to kill Sonic himself. If I give Sonic Team’s writers the benefit the doubt, I’ll assume that the reason Mephiles waited so long to kill Sonic was so it would guarantee Elise would cry and release Iblis due to her bond with Sonic having time to grow. If one looks at it that way, it’s not a terrible plot point. Just my opinion.

"Momentum" is such a overused and misused term in the Sonic community that I don't even know what it's supposed to mean in context of the title. Does it mean "slope physics" -- the player character will have more kinetic energy going downhill than uphill?

I feel like I'm the only one who doesn't really fear Squid as much as everytime I look at it from far away I just admire the trail, but the dramatic zoom in however along with every other guardians can kind of scare me a bit

People are talking about momentum while jumping you are losing all of the momentum you get when you jump and its so annoying but the game itself has momentum in some places
