Hi, What time do you think we should come to Yu Garden?

I visited Thaiwoo ski resort with my aunt last year & earlier this year! Skiing is really fun and it’s honestly my favorite sport. Before covid, I used to go to China to ski every year but because of the pandemic my skills had rusted 😅 luckily when I finally had the chance to go back to China last year, my aunt took me back to Chongli and revisited my skills; now I’m able to ski on intermediate slopes and do basic parallel turns. The Thaiwoo ski town atmosphere was really warm in the snowy winterland and I absolutely enjoyed my time there. I wish i could ski more often in the future and go to more ski resorts in China and around the world!

do you have to pre purchase tickets online or do they sell it there or is it free?

Have traveler to the Yu Garden in Shanghai and it was one of the highlights of my trip to China. Shanghai itself is just amazing to visit 😍

so the water is only clear in the morning ? is it only clear in the morning all year or is it specific months only ?

You should go to Xinjiang. Keketuohai Ski resort is still open. And there was lot of power in snow season.

Hey Paul Tks for nice introduction of Thaiwoo ski resort. It’s useful as I can’t find much info online about skiing in China. My family tried Niseko, Korea Phoenix park. Just wondering if Thaiwoo would be more value for money 😊

Thanks for this video and all your advises. It’s motivating me to go there. One question: any chance to find a ski instructor speaking English?

I instructed at various ski areas around the Beijing area for a little while. If you happen to be in the area then it can make for an entertaining day trip, but with Japan literally just next door there are far better options in the vicinity for a week long trip if you are coming from further afield. They are not bad and make the best of what they have to work with, but don’t go there expecting a European or North American style mega resort as an experienced skier or border could probably explore everything on offer in about 90 minutes. Do go there if you live locally and want a quick break from the city

wow this looks like a very nice resort. I'm heading to Chang Bai Shan 长白山 ski resort in Feb this year. But I can already tell its a purely beginners resort with very short runs. But at least the hotels are nice there. What are the bigger resorts you can recommend? Especially with nice long Blue Runs. Thanks!
