The right side of the snowblower auger stopped spinning during use. I found one of the shear-bolts was broken so overall it was an easy fix. In this video I talk about what I find, how I fixed it and also give some basic info on shear bolts.

I was originally going to make a quick basic video about the 47" Deere snowblower but quickly ran into an issue that stopped me dead in my tracks. In this video I will diagnose and repair the issue. I never would have guessed this would happen. Very strange for sure.

This was supposed to be a basic snowblower video but I ran into a snag. I talk a little bit about the problem here but created another video where I diagnose and repair the root cause since it was fairly in-depth. I have been struggling to install and remove the snow blower drive belt on my Deere X590. I initially thought it was because the belt was new but after doing some reading, found out that its not an uncommon issue. This video shows my method and is for entertainment purposes only. Always follow the manufacturer instructions when working on your equipment.

At least he stopped at the intersection. :-)

I have been moving piles of leaves like this for a few years with good success. I started ith the plow on my Deere X530. I have since started strapping plywood to the forks on the 2025R with good results.

A family member asked me to complete the 200 hour service on their 2012 Deere X530 so I thought that would be a good opportunity to make a video. Pretty straight forward with no major issues but I do share several tips and tricks throughout. I still need to complete the transaxle fluid and filter change but that will be a later date and separate video.

A couple weeks ago I was splitting firewood with my Cub Cadet 27-ton log splitter manufactured by MTD when it stopped. The motor was running fine but I had no hydraulic power. I found that there was an issue with the coupling between the motor and hydraulic pump which is what I look at in this video.

This was supposed to be a basic video, just splitting some wood. About a third of the way through the load of logs, the splitter stopped. The engine was still running fine but the hydraulics just stopped. I did end up figuring out the issue later in the video which will require a part I don't have. That will be another video...

The lower part of my driveway is on a slight hill which has resulted in some washout and erosion over the past couple years. I am going to make some quick repairs using the box blade on my Deere 2025R. At some point I will need to improve the drainage but for now, I just want to do a quick-fix before winter sets in.

This is a quick video showing my process for removing the 47" snowblower from a Deere X590 garden tractor. This process is the same for the X580, X584 and X590. The X570 is a little different since it does not have the hydraulic lift function.
