TUNDRA is a new media artist collective comprised of Alexandr Sinitsa, Klim Sukhanov, and Semyon Perevoshchikov.
We began as a collaboration between visual artists and electronic music producers, exploring the synesthetic facets of human audiovisual perception through experimentation with new technologies and media.
In our artworks, we blend light, sound, space and use technology as a tool to interact with rapidly-changing environmental context.
TUNDRA's artistic practices include a/v performances, sound&light installations, generative art and various forms of multimedia experiments. Our artistic approach aims to balance chaos and order by combining technology and nature in various forms of media.

TUNDRA - ÉXÕ installation
ÉXÕ | haptic audio-visual installation, 2024
ÉXÕ cube is a synesthetic installation that extends the phenomenon of echo into the visual-haptic domain. Embodying an endless cascade of moving reflections fading within the infinite void, the cube is surrounded by a vibro-platform where each side resonates independently.
Drawing its name from the Cyrillic 'эхо' ('echo') and ancient Greek 'ἔξω' ('exo,' meaning 'outside'),it symbolizes the perpetual cycle of cultural narrative repetitions that reach us through the echoes of generations, inevitably distorted and altered by time and space. Due to its haptic properties, the installation facilitates ritual engagement through slow, meditative movement around the cube, reflecting devotional practices of circumambulation.
The platform beneath the feet transmits low-frequency vibrations, below the threshold of human hearing, merging auditory, visual, and tactile stimuli into a synesthetic perception. This transmission grounds the encounter with ÉXÕ cube in a form of ritual experience, connecting to the primal echoes of ancient gatherings where the rumble of drums and the thrum of the earth were as much a part of communication as any spoken language.

Hello, friends! We’ve finally put together the behind-the-scenes of INEXISTENCE. To summarize our experience with various technologies, we combined holographic displays, an LED screen, and an industrial robot to create a continuously morphing video sculpture. what's the name of that cables for doing this beautiful installation?
Hey TUNDRA! Not sure if you'll see this, but I'm a huge fan and have been for a minute. I wanted to reach out and see if you have any recommendations for a good 3D LED Hologram Fan that might work well with TD? I've been scouring the internet for a few days now and most of the mainstream ones on Amazon don't seem to have the ability to live stream from TD and rely on pre rendered videos.

Absolutely beautiful. So much depth and richness in the audio and lighting. Reminds me of transmissions from a numbers station although from extraterrestrials.
This is the most polished use I've ever seen of infinity mirrors, usually the effect is done purely for its own sake as a novelty, but here it is much more integrated into the overall theme and feeling of the piece.
