First record I ever bought..... saw them the same year at the old Civic Centre in Ottawa..... maybe 76? They brought the cannon out, pointed it right at the audience, and BLAMMMMM!!! Can't get away with that amount of flash powder these days, my ears were ringin for sure.

my bf showed me this song, because I am a trafficked child survivor. my bf is on FB all the time, telling our stories. thank you for the song. it feels better when people address the trauma of violence and empire-building, instead of denying their ongoing actions against children, everywhere.

MAN. That lead solo is the best ever. What a band!

During their Stand Back tour one of their stops was in Saint John, New Brunswick. I used to work in the proshop at the Westfield Gold and Country Club. The band members came to the club to play a round of golf before their performance. Altough I was unable to get a ticket to the show it was great to be able to talk to the band members face to face. Great times, great Canadian (from Nova Scotia) band.

Very fitting that this was the last song he would ever upload.

I heard this song for the first time on my radio this evening during a tribute to Myles. Hard to drive with tears in your eyes. R.I.P.❤

I recall crossing the intersection of St. Catherine and Atwater St. One afternoon. I was going to work at Alexis Neon Plaza. At the intersection was a convertible Mercedes-Benz. I recognized Myles right away as i crossed in front of his car. I said "Hey Myles" and gave him a thumbs up. He gave a little beep of the horn and a peace sign. Never forget that day. Rest in peace Mr. Goodwyn.

Canada has lost one of its greatest singers/songwriters of all time. RIP Myles, Stand Back was the first album I ever owned and I still love it to this day.

April Wine’s music represents a HUGE chunk of the soundtrack to my life, early 70’s to late 80’s… This song especially hurts, as to me, it represents the lads in THEIR younger years, all that hope and excitement of what might (and would) lie ahead… and ultimately the end… 😢😭😭💔
