The OneBlade to me at least is a horrible razor. I’ve not had much luck with boar hair except for one Zenith brush. With the brushes I have I’d rate my Badger and Synthetic about even.

Hey Scott! For me, the OneBlade is not a good razor. The blades, I agree with you, I'll get just one shave off the blade. That's ridiculous! The pivot action is not existent too! I am going to try to modify a Gem blade to see if that makes any difference! My recommendation to folks, just purchase any vintage Gem razor and buy the blades off ebay, Amazon, etc. You'll get a far better shave!! Thanks for the review and nice save on the shave! JimG

My favourite knots are Synthetic, Boar & Badger in that order, didn't like Horse hair when I tried one, it was (stayed) too scratchy, tangled easily and it also started very smelly, worse than Boar or Badger. I also find many of the lower priced Italian soaps are slick enough but don't have the best residual / post shave, however, the ones like Saponificio Varesino (4.3) and Donkey milk recipe Extro are much better for me. Considering the great reputation Feather has for their other blades it's surprising the "One-blade" ones are so bad, for SE razors I prefer the AC razors and for me the blades are easier to get than GEM & Injector. I love chiseled face. I wore ghost town barber on my wedding day since it’s my wife’s favorite scent. I think a reason it flies under the radar in this community is because he’s not one of those artisans that sends his soap out for TH-camrs to review and promote. He’s also not in the spotlight much on social media. I guess he prefers to stay low key. But it a a shame more people don’t use his soap because he does great work. Nice and shiny setup Scott👌 I really like those triple RR soaps, great value and make excellent lather. I've always maintained a mild razor will shave off a normal weeks beard, unless it's really dense and wiry like you said those shavers would probably not have mild razors anyway, works for me though. Nice green Brut shave Scott, I remember back in the day when we lived in a trailer and having those temperature extremes with it being hot or freezing. If we didn't heat the pipes in the winter they would be popsicles. Our dog would go jump in the cattle tank and float in it like am alligator with only his nose and eyes above the water. I find that PAA doesn't have that residual slickness as say Stirling soaps and cut myself due to that blade catching on the more dryer skin. Have a great day
