Does this count as "Off Piste"? (and i did a 360!!!!)
We skied what we think could have been either a closed run or off piste. What do you think?

Short and Hard BUMPS!
มุมมอง 1179 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
This was one of the first mogul runs I found in Les Arcs. It's a short piste which connects two others which even this early in the season, is absolutely littered with bombproof moguls. Amazing fun and a real work out for the legs.

Merry Christmas looks awesome
Nicww
Looks fire
Well done! Good snow and sunshine for Christmas! Merry Christmas! Hopefully see you in Les Arcs after the New Year??
it's still a camera bro🙏
@ale_3894 🤣🤣 good point.
Looks like its pretty cold!
@@Alexskiing it has been today. We’re going to be up to around 0-3c apparently in the next few days b
I have been to Morzine in the past, it is beautiful. Skiing at Portes du soleil is wonderful.
@@kokushibilly it really is isn’t it. The town is beautiful too.
Excellent machine - got mine a week ago and it's sublime.
@@cineturon so good aren’t they. I think mine makes my life better every day. Having said that. I wouldn’t mind one with a double boiler at some point.
She needs to get her feet closer together and avoid lifting her ski at the end of the turn...and flex through the bumps.
Opposite, more people ski early season because they want to get out quick
@@FWSkis-24 interesting take. Most popular weeks in Europe are new years week, the February half terms and Easter if it’s early. Peak season tends to be around school holidays as opposed to when people want to go as families with children are limited to these times.
@@sessionmediaa yes fair point, i live in Colorado and it seems as if so many people want to claim they went “early season”
Where do I get a WDT like that?
I bought mine from Amazon. It was quite a cheap one I think. Something along the lines of £5. It has certainly made a difference to the consistency of my shots
Skiers 🙄
Me and my dad are going to do that black
I liked your video
@@MrClevermule I’m so glad you liked the video. Man this run is the best in les arcs I absolutely love it. Really feels like an adventure. I’d suggest going with good visibility but you won’t regret it. Let me know how it goes
Have you tried skiing in fall?
Not really. I've done it on the occasions when there is some snow and up in the very north of Sweden but not to the extent where i have any real knowledge about it. How is it?
Idc how many people what the conditions are like even rain. I will ski 💪😎
All fun and games until you spend a week on the one run which is open because the rest are dirt and rocks.
Fair point. Having said that, this year the snow looks pretty damn good and the alps are set for another half metre over the next week so I think early season is paying off this year.
Why reupload?
Just re-uploading a couple of the videos from last season to get the channel back up to speed for next week when we go back out. Mainly just so that the first couple of new videos actually go out to my subscribers. Sorry if you've seen this one before. New ones coming next week. New skis, new resort!!!
youre going too fast!
You're in Les Arcs, and you didn't tell me? I can only hope this is an impersonator who has taken control of this channel, as the owner would never commit such a heinous crime. The dude skiing is really good, though.
@@Alexskiing you sir are an observant chap!!! I’m not currently out there unfortunately but heading to Morzine on the 21st this month. Where are you? I’m keen to see if I can come and meet up with you if you’re about at some point for some skiing.
How much Grams of Coffee are you using? And do you use the razor?
I use 18.5 grams of coffee and i don't use the razor, I just try to get the weight right. If the weight is right and the shot comes out in about 25-35 seconds i'm generally happy with the grind. I make little adjustments if i want to see if it makes a difference but not always
what s the name of this pist ?
I have something similar from ECM
He's back!
Thank you. Very helpful
Great video 👍🏻
The grinder on this machine is so bad for medium to light roasts. Gave my machine away and got a decent machine and a niche grinder. Now I'm happy.
@@nathonwhite gosh! You gave away a £500 machine? Im sorry you didn’t get on with it. Did you try adjusting the burs?
To begin with, I buy an espresso machine without a grinder. Second, a grinder doesn't have to cost £500. There are grinders for half of that, that grind better than the built-in grinder @@sessionmediaa
Now that was fkn funny 😂😂
the two most gentle persons on the mountain im sure, the sweet talk!
Hi could you tell me where you started ( parked ) please 🙏
I actually started just up the road in a parking bay by the lake. hope that's helpful
Got mine for like £450 from Costco at the start of lock down 2020. I’ve used it on and off over the years, but just gave it a deep clean and it’s working great still
That was black? That was narrow? Try Keyhole at Alpine Meadows. It is the definition of steep and narrow.
@@charlieharper4975 thanks for the comment Charlie! Keyhole sounds like another level, I’d love to try it one day. I would just bear in mind the GoPro effect on these videos and that black just signifies being the next level of difficulty/exposure/deterioration or piste above red.
is it in la plagne of the main les arcs ski area
That's the spirit! Never let a mere sign stand between you and fun! 🤣❤
Which route would you recommend?
Love Les Arcs it's some of the best skiing there is but it can also have some of the worst. When the sun shines 1600, 1800, Peicey Vallandry can lose snow very fast and ice up like a.... On another note not sure if your insurance would cover you if a piste is designated closed and you came a Bernard.
If you can get one of the first bubbles up this run its absolutely glorious when piste bashed. Wait until its busy and it becomes very shit very quickly. Blue push path at the end to get to Meribel centre is never fun though.
Rhis looks a great qalk not aure about Devils Kitchen though
The way to ski a trail, like that, which, by the way, is probably not even a black diamond trail, is to make very short turns on the left side or the right side of the trail and stay out of the middle.
Hi Chad, thank you so much for the advice. Do read this comment out loud to yourself. I’m sure you meant it to be constructive but I’m afraid it doesn’t quite come across in that way. This run is also in France where the pistes are rated Green, Blue, Red, Black. There are no black diamonds or double black diamonds. The certainly doesn’t mean that the skiing is any less challenging in Europe, however it does use a slightly different rating scale.
L O L! Do you think this is narrow? Really? I think you should’ve skied the goat trail at Stowe Vermont about 50 years ago before they wind it. It was probably about 12 feet wide and 35°.
My favourite run in the world! In good snow the possibilities are endless. You took the standard way down but there are so many ways you can do it. the run out to 1600 is great fun too ❤
Nice! 🙌🏼💯
Black?
The end of "les ecureuils" is more red than black ut this is a nice run especially the passage through the forest. The start (top of Grizzly skilift) is steeper with moguls.
Who can i ask to find out where these are pal?
These people sound like Noel Coward's elocution teacher
😂
Steepest, narrowest, biggest, highest, longest, in France, in Europe, in the world, on south side of Tarentaise valley… Can’t you just enjoy something without setting hierarchy, rating and compare what would be wether better or not as good as. Grade is a strange way to describe and transmit passion. Try not to write a cv on your skis, you shall enjoy
out here at the moment . ice ice baby .. so much icy hard pack slopes grippy snow it os not !.. off piste non existant just sheet ice, hgher you go better the slopes
Oh no that sucks. Hopefully you get some more snow while you're out there.
skied it a multiple times last year. its steep but not more then that, would recommend it to ppl that wanna skie there first black!!
Yeah really good shout! It would be a perfect intro black. Not too steep and not too commiting.
I thought I was icy last year because of the snow condition but probably its just the slope if I see this vid :)@@sessionmediaa
Looks as if it needs more snow!
It definitely does!!
Nice skiing lady
