If we go with the theory that Jinshi is the emperor's little brother or his (dead) son, that means that he's currently 17 years old, the same age as Maomao now. What Maomao was reading said that everything happened 17 years ago, not 19. So that means Jinshi can't be related to the emperor, or maybe he's 19 at the end of the season?? That spoiler is a bit confusing. So far he's never said anything about his age. Also it makes you wonder if Maomao's father was already an eunuch at that time, how when and why he became her dad? 🤔🤔 Poor man, having a daughter the same year he lost his job lol

I think referring to Maomao as a toy is just making an analogy not actually saying she is a toy, maybe? Hmmm.
