I am a Master Electrician by trade, Equipment Operator, avid DIYer, and Shade Tree Mechanic. I have a regular day job that takes 40+ hours a week of my time. As with most people I have varied interests and will likely have a little bit of this and that on my channel as time goes on. I am relatively new to creating video's with the intent of posting them on the channel and my struggle will likely be, taking the time to record video. I sometimes get impatient with that part of the process as it does impact the amount of time it takes to complete a project. I should probably change the name to something more catchy......? Any suggestions, comments, and constructive criticism are welcome and appreciated.

What A View! Some crane operations at a lock and dam and a mostly de-watered lock chamber.
A view from an American friction crane atop a lock and dam. The majority of our picks are in the blind. The lock chamber is mostly dewatered for inspections and repairs.

2008 Harley Davidson Road King Rear Brake light Switch Replacement
มุมมอง 20K5 ปีที่แล้ว
In this video I will be replacing the switch that activates the brake light and bleeding the air from the brake line.
Absolutely amazing sounding trip and I love the sound of that big cam Cummins can you please see if you can do more like this one only a lot longer and if you can make it an edited and ASMR style and hammer down on the Excelerator more because this thing like I said, sounds great and if you don’t mind please, can you use the Jake’s more because I love the sound of them stay safe man I hope all is well with you
That beauty has got to be original!!!!
It's probably as original as you will find that's still legally running the roads.
Nice spreading job excellent driver.
Thanks, I appreciate that.
My question is. Why is there a brake pressure switch to begin with ? Harleys didn't have em in 1908 🙄
Do those leak?
It’s possible.
Mine started a week ago. However didn’t catch it. Everyday I was getting on my bike and the rear brake had more give in it each time. Until the 5th day it almost would go all the way down until there was any brake. It ended up being this switch was leaking. Replaced, bleed the line and it fixed it. Also realized 5th day I had no brake light which led me to switch. It was leaking minimal. Was not a obvious leak.
If it were my truck and you were cold starting it like that i'd fire your dumb ass.
If youd give it an honest chance to start, itd sound and act a whole lot better BUT.....the video maker wants to go to Hollywood so us the watchers have to do the doily drag.......
Considering the block heater wasn't working and I didn't have any starting fluid on hand, it did ok. I guess I could have gone old school and shoved a pan of coals under the oil pan, possibly catch it on fire like my grandfather did his old tractor. That might get me closer to Hollywood.
Is it possible this is a ‘68? I thought in ‘69 the speedo and tach were flush with the rest of the dashboard. Sounds beautiful!
The best I can tell from the build sheet it was ordered May 9th 1968 and delivered April 20th 1970.
Excellent video guys
Very nice. Thanks for video
I'll be doing this on my 2005 road king when the part arrives. in my case my pedal went squishy and I found the switch to actually be leaking fluid. did you wrap the threads of the new switch in Teflon tape? hard to see but it looks like it. I see you used 2 wrenches to ensure that the base doesn't twist on the brake lines. I was thinking that would be a good idea.
Nice Bike son! 🤟
Damn this thang is playing knock knock knockin on heavens doors with that cold start
For sure. Finally fixed the block heater so hopefully that helps.
Finally starts after 2 minutes winding on it.
That's a clean lookin ol truck. 😁👍
Thanks. We're getting there.
friend do you know how to fix error code U1040 Road king 2008?
I am not familiar with issues regarding that code.
Very good video thanks
Hi G. Allen Barnes! Always is necessary to bleeding the air from the brake line, when you replace the switch? Or you can replace it without doing this? Thanks!
You need to bleed the air from the line. otherwise it will affect brake performance. Could lead to "spongy" or "soft" pedal.
Or keep pressure on the foot pedal,
Thanks for the video. Slow and descriptive. My 2008 electra glide rear brakes started feeling different on a ride and on the way home I noticed the rear brake wouldn't disengage the cruise. After researching, I checked my rear brake light which also didn't work. I didn't even know where the switch would be located but after watching this it looks simple to replace.
Why didn't the brake fluid leak when you removed the brake sensor?
Unless you open another port it has a vacuum on it. If I had opened up any other part of the system it would have started leaking out. Same as holding water in a straw when you place your thumb over the top opening.
G. Allen Barnes I get it. Thank you! 🕺🏻
Do you have abs?
I do not have ABS.
