Good shi brotha just subbed
nice table!
Flipping outstanding!
That turned out really nice! I've not seen another one like that before. You did good!
Nice! Such a simple project that turned out really cool. What's that laser engraver that you're using?
That's a sick concept.
I’ve always loved woodworking, the joy you feel as a project comes together is amazing. You pour a little of yourself into every piece. Exotic woods will always bring the highest return. A suggestion for a promotional item I made 40 years ago and still have a couple around people love them. A silver dollar size “coin” wood disk with the words “To It” Imprinted on one side and your shop logo on the other. Give them out at trade shows , markets you sell at. Tell the ladies they can give it to their husbands the next time he says he will take care of it when he gets around to it !! Works for all procrastinators .
I'm a little late but a paint scraper that you pull is the best for dried glue squeezeout. You can get them for like $15 at Lowes or Home Depot. You got my sub though. I've wanted to start a woodworking channel for years now but i know nothing about videography. This video and videography is just fantastic.
What’s ur instagram ???
Good luck, my 2 cents - 1. Think in advance of what your doing and respect the tools or you will lose a finger or worse. 2. You will find it hard to get people to pay what you have in the pieces you make for your actual time. I would reiterate that they are getting a one of a kind, hand made item and they would always balk at the price. After doing the math I was only making like ten buck and hour. Now I just make stuff for friends and keep it as a hobby.
Much prefer this format of video to the earlier format of "I'm an out of work producer, so I went and bought a domino", which was super incongruent!
dope. good luck!
thanks! Going to try my best!
Let’s collab one day bro
Let me know! Super down
Bring it!!
Bringing all of it, everywhere, all the time 😂
Shit LA probably tough I'm just beginning to start a side business of woodworking until I can take it full time. I'm starting with smaller lathe work first to get impulse buys moving and I'll be working on one bigger project simultaneously. Good luck my friend d
Thanks! Definitely hard in LA, but hopefully can get into the market and use my skills as a filmmaker to get a leg up 🙏🏽
Good quality on the video bro! I believe in you, and so does the Lord ❤️
Thanks! Going to always try & make it better, appreciate the kind words!
Keep at it!
Cant stop wont stop!
Yawn
I can try to make a wood pillow
So close to 1000!!
Just hit it! Thank you!!
Why are all men no adays talkn like this? Like females 😂
I'd say that using plywood is a cheap way to learn, but with the small amount that you used, red oak lumber might be actually cheaper. - Chris
It definitely was cheaper in this instance, haha. An impulse build for sure
Hi, anak - it's nice! I think Ate told me she needs a shoe rack. 😂😂
Hey it's all part of the learning process. Plywood has its pros and cons. Great video as usual.
What was the laser you were using?
LaserPecker’s smallest laser! Not sure what the model was
Nice work! Subscriber 978 here 😎
Thank you! Just broke 1000!!!
Very cool video, good quality audio, colors, entertaining story, and overall a good, good video! Keep it up, man! You got it! As far as woodworking skills goes, it's just a learning curve! Hahahahaha, good work!
Thank you! So excited for when woodworking skill starts to catch up to filmmaking skill, haha
Just finished watching this video and the nelson one Fucken Amazing work❤. I wish you all the best. This is coming from a high end cabinet maker/furniture maker with 17 years of experience
That means a lot coming from you! Hope to be able to break in and have a prosperous new career in this!
Nice job. I like the size of the table-it's small yet big enough to get the job done.
It’s all I need for my needs! That’s all that matters for me, haha!
Next will cover drilling do’s and dont’s
Do: drill Don’t: drill bad
Hey bud - I'm in LA and thinking about relaunching my (not so big) cooking channel. Message me if you're interested in having a chat!
Oops, was using the wrong account to comment!
I think I’m trying to become a hobby woodworker so your vids are going to be a great inspiration for me. I may even be able to take your approach if I want to make my hobby something more. Awesome stuff.
Thank you! That really means a lot, hope that this becomes more and more as the year goes on
Dude. This is dope. Glad it was recommended so I can say I was a part of the first 1000 subscribers once you make it big. You’ve got the right idea, keep it up.
Thanks! Just broke 1000, only up from here!
Try using a router on a centered swing arm
I did for the initial cut, but couldnt get my router depth deep enough!
#rout_your_squarcles.
I routed my squarcle until I couldnt get enough depth 🥲
Typically you cut it close then cut back over and fine tune your cut, you also had to come back and sand the edges right? Way too much torque at the angle next time make multiple cuts to fine tune it
I already had a circle routed out with a circle cutting jig, so just had to use that with a templating bit to get a clean circle after the excess was off!
sick build and video style. Hope this takes off for you. Droppped a sub.
Thank you! Going to put my best efforts forward
You didn't pushed the saw onto the board enough, in the combination with with possibly hitting the work bench, or maybe pulling the saw a bit up; either way the blade hit something. But it is not too dangerous, as long as you have good face protection. 😅
I’m pretty sure it was too short of a blade! But also yes I dont know why my eye pro decided to take the day off. It didn’t feel super scary, but a little shook haha
Very dope! I'm living vicariously thru you with these videos now, so you have to keep going. I have similar interest and talents, and watching you stack them together like this is inspirational. Hopefully I'll be sharing my work with the same creativity that you ooze in this production
Thank you! Yes give it a shot! It definitely is a fun time
Lolol your blade ain't quite long enough
I think that was it!
Blade too short.
Yeah, the tip will kick if the blade is too short . It's pretty simple. Happening me the first time when I was 12. Welcome to carpentry.
Good to know, longer blade for that thick of stock! Gotta get one of them lonnnnnnng jigsaw blades. And hopefully a bandsaw soon
this girl is probably missing by now..their asking 4 it
what bro
Good work. It looks really good. I like the plan too. Hopefully it will bring some orders in for you.
Good work. It looks really good. I like the plan too. Hopefully it will bring some orders in for you.
Amazing work, I hope you can make a living out of it one day. Stay consistent
Nicely made, I'm sure l'moon appreciated the lazy Susan. Heads up on the jigsaw error, your blade was too short and on an upstroke it popped up out of the cut then slammed down on the wood causing it to jump. Been there. Also happens if the blade breaks mid cut which happens often when using a thin, scrolling blade in thick hardwood. Try a longer, wider blade. You won't be able to make as tight of a curve but for what you were doing it'll be fine. PS, I hate jigsaws.
On the left side of the saw, on the silver part of the body is a black switch that adjusts the orbital action of the blade. This changes how dramatic the forward motion of the blade is. Need to match the speed of the blade, orbital action, type of blade and hardness of the wood to how hard you are pushing. Let the tool do the work. If your circular piece you cut has a taper towards the bottom of where you cut, you were pushing too hard(or have a bent blade)
And I bet an hour later you realized why you should hop right back into it. Make sure everything is secure but always get right back into the game to hold that confidence back ip
Bet you felt all of the anxiety of every fellow soak our they're when that thing went Glad you're safe though a
What was the settings on the jigsaw? I am wondering if you had the setting on 3 which would have made it move too much while rounding the corner causing the blade to be forced into a bent position. Try turning the setting to 0 while doing hard turns which makes the blade move much less and cut less aggressively.
Depth of the blade is not deep enough. Usually happens when the blade doesn’t go all the way thru the wood. In this case I think it’s the work is to thick. Could easily break your blade
The blade went all the way through, about maybe 1/2 the depth of my bench cookie, but maybe still not deep enough? I did break two blades, this happened a second time that I didn’t show 😅
