If I counted correctly, “make restitution” appears four times in these twenty verses in Chapter 22. That lets me know it is very important to God. We had a handyman, that said he was a Christian, not finish the job we hired him for. He got paid in advance because we trusted him. I told my husband if he was a true Christian he would make restitution. He never did. I wouldn’t want to be in his shoes. I agree with you. It still applies today. 🙏♥️🙌🏻

There is so much filth being broadcasted in TV, movies and ads/commercials. I am disheartened my grandchildren are being bombarded with this constantly. It seems it is everywhere you turn. I once in a Jr. store asked my father for a piece of gum. I was 5 years old. He said no. I took the piece of gum anyway but in my mind didn't think of the consequences or of getting caught. He saw me chewing it when we got in the car. He was very wrought and marched me back into that store. I had to apologize to the store clerk for "stealing" and watched my father pay for the gum. Later at home, my behind was sore as well. I have children and grandchildren now, but I still remember that situation and it shaped my growing up years and how I viewed other people's possessions and things that didn't belong to me. Thank you for a wonderful lesson, Sister Linda.

It is very interesting. God is certainly wise! I think verse 22 can relate to abortion today. One day…there will be great judgement for that. Thank you for praying for me. I did go to the ER today. They sent me home with prescriptions. I’m so thankful. Before, when I had these symptoms, I was hospitalized and had surgery. I know the Lord helped me. 🙌🏻❤️🙏 Have a blessed Revival!

I agree, Sister Linda. We do need men in leadership that are able, who fear God, hate covetousness and are true. We need them not only on a global scale such as in the White House and local government, but also on a small scale, like in our local churches, schools and workplaces. Oh God, put your people in leadership to guide and direct according to your will. What is it about men who find it difficult to accept help? I believe they are created by God to be strong, courageous and providers for their families, not to mention other qualities they have. Perhaps that is why they attempt to take care of things apart from the aid of others. Thank you for a thought-provoking message.

I didn’t see this post last night. This lesson was a great blessing to me! Our God is so holy. When we approach Him, it should be with a godly fear and reverence. I’m like you. I pray to Him like He is my friend. When I sometimes hear others pray, I feel so inadequate, but I know that He sees my heart and hears my prayers. Praying for a Revival! 🙏♥️🙌🏻

I love what I read in my Bible notes about verse four. As the mother eagle catches her young on her wings to keep them from crashing while learning to fly, so God was caring for Israel and bringing her not just to Sinai, but to Himself. Every time I read a chapter or verse I see something I didn’t notice before. I think we must constantly learn His Word. It’s exciting!

Another thing I like that Jethro did was in verse 23. He expected Moses to seek God’s will in the matter. He said,”If thou shalt do this thing, and God command thee so…”. He wanted the LORD to give Moses the okay. God doesn’t call all of us to be leaders, but He may want us to help a leader do a better job. 🙌🏻🙏♥️

When we read about Jethro saying, “I know that the LORD is greater than all gods:”, I thought of that song, “I know, I know, there’s no doubt about it, He lives in my heart and I’m gonna shout it, I know, I know my sins are forgiven and I’m on my way to a place that’s called Heaven!” When you know…you know! Thankful Jethro found this out! 🙌🏻♥️🙏

It is so true, Sister Linda that the churches today don’t want to talk about holiness. Most times when they do talk about it, they say we can’t be holy this side of heaven so it’s no need to strive for it. Watered down versions of the Truth. I get upset just thinking of it and if you speak out against that kind of thinking, you are treated poorly and ostracized. But I guess Jesus was too as well as His disciples so I guess one would be in good company. LOL.

Yes I believe our generation needs the Lord to show Himself strong on our behalf. Yes we do need revival in this land. Oh Lord, send a revival. 🙏🏼

The Israelites had a short memory on what God had done before. Sometimes that happens to me. I try to look back on the many times He has come through for me. There’s a song that I like to sing called He’ll Do It Again. It is not possible for our God to be unfaithful. Thank the Lord for others that help lift up our hands when we need help. I feel your enthusiasm for cooler weather in Florida! We Floridians love the fall and winter weather and when temps dip a little, we all get excited. LOL. I agree also, Sister Linda that it is getting tougher and tougher to tell others about Jesus and to take a stand for what is right. I feel this around this time of the year most especially *Halloween*. I used to when my children were little get so much hate from people including family for not celebrating this holiday. Now that my grandchildren are here, I am still receiving that from people. It is tough but God has given me strength all these years to stand for His Word and Truth and He will continue to do so in the future. God is so good.

You are such a blessing to me. You are truly doing the Lord's work.
