Federal Signal DSA Ambiance/High Water Release/Phenix city & Columbus GA/ Steady & voice (read Desc)
Let me tell you the Story of how I caught this siren going off
So yesterday at around 2:56pm I was just walking around listening to music And then when I was transitioning in between songs I heard a Police Sounding siren coming North From The Dam. Therefore it took me 3.5 Seconds To realize That the Dam Was gonna release water so i quickly sped to the Path Way near my apartment, So... I Ran To the Path when i got there it was 2:59pm, and the little police sirens stopped sounding at the dam, then i started recording, then the sirens went off. One of the DSAs at the dam ran for 3 minutes... and usually, the dam sirens in the past usually ran for only 15 seconds and for somewhat, this time during the voice message they added a Spanish-speaking guy which I find pretty cool.
Mind you since I've moved to Phenix City and stayed by the river, I've been trying to catch it for a long time a long long time, but this time I finally got it, and I plan to record it again before I leave at the end of this month depending if they release water again.

Went to this siren to see if the rotator was broken.. seems like it is. On December 23rd 2023, Columbus GA activated their sirens in the Alert, Wail, and Airhorn tone. This test consisted of a 1 minute alert, 20 Second Wail, And 30 seconds of Airhorn, Columbus, GA tests every Saturday at 12:00. Went down to the Vortex in Phenix City, they ended up not going off, but captured an ambience of downtown Columbus. Fun Fact Minneapolis MN has a whole system of these and the dealer who installed them put a custom Attack Signal which is a looped version of the noon blast heard in this video search Minneapolis MN Whelen Vortex R4 Alert Attack Test there are several videos of a couple around the City taken on Monthly Test Day which is the first Wednesday of every month at 1:00 PM
