    Epic summit Anton! a friend and i will be attempting this same run tete russe hut stop then summit next morning /afternoon 😅 there is no more spots open on gouter hut for aug. So we will need to strategize the stops. What happens if it gets dark on the way down and you have no reservation (im assuming you keep hiking down with headlamp) I think the way you did it is the exact way we will have to do it (unguided)

    only 9mm tent poles for a 4 season tent.. I would recommend switching to 10mm

    • @hikingswede

      Really no need, I've used this foretress in 30m/s+ winds during winter storms. The seams will start taking damage before the poles if it is placed correctly and a snow barrier is built.

      Jannu no question!

    • @tubulzr

      The Jannu comes in red label only while the Soulo comes in both red and black label. That's quite a difference, especially the more rigid BL 10,5mm poles. I do like the Jannu though, very roomy and 'bombproof'. But I chose the (red label) Soulo for my 3 season solo hikes (no real winter experience yet). 12 guy lines, a couple backstaked if needed. The tent will flap somewhat enthusiastically in brutal winds but doesn't budge or move. Just lovely.

    Good review. Now that I am watching this, I didn't realize that this tent was so similar to my Saivo BL tent. I like it a lot, but I just wish the vestibule was larger - a GT size. It's already heavy, might as well add a pound for a vestibule and better when getting out to keep water out of the tent. Great tents!

    i have the kajka 65 and 75l packs the 65 awesome for lighter summer gear 75 for thicker heavier gear and clothing , there is a big difference between the two , 10l doesnt sound a lot but it is with fjallraven. theyre tough as hell . well upto brambles and Scotlands granite mountains .. i darent take my osprey aether 65 , the sports bra materiels would pull and snag .. whereas the kajka's are tough , flallraven dont seem to make disposable gear like a lot of trend companies where you dispose of last years trendy osprey for this years model ... its a sad fact , but too many companies are heading that way , this kajka to me is like the old nikon lenses , made to last and passed on !

It maybe the seams I've had two with both the same problem. Contacted Trekology. They didn't seem interested. I've also had problems with there deluxe pillow. The inner just decayed. They sent me a replacement but that did the same thing. I've only used them on campsites in good weather. I've lost total confidence it Trekology products and the customer service. Will not us them again.
