Heat Transfer CFD Simulation (Conduction and Convection)
The one of fundamental transport phenomena is heat transfer. The heat transfer processes are conduction, convection and radiation. The CFD simulation can also perform the heat conduction in solid. Here, we can do the simulation of heat conduction in solid and heat convection from the solid surface simultaneously. The objective of this tutorial is conducting the heat transfer CFD simulation and comparing the results with the solutions from analytical results. In the beginning, we build the mathematical model of flow of heat from a wedge-shaped fin (triangular when viewed from the side), the solve it analytically.
