On this channel we explore things that allow us to coexist with nature, and how bountiful that relationship can be. In doing so, I am determined to both learn and spread my knowledge of the skills i already have to others that may be looking for guidance. Some of the items i will be showing include Trapping, Hunting, Fishing, and many more!
Farrier: Trimming Rock Huge Cracked Hoof Gets Fixed
Rock is an old gelding, I always joke that he’s going to out live us all. Rock suffered and injury 10 years ago to his front hoof causing it to split and him to be retired due to soundness. So I hoof epoxy his permanent damage and make him look new!

Trotline Building : Monofilament Doubled Leaders

This is something that sets trotlines apart. Secrets are being revealed. You will double your catch from traditional nylon leaders if you swap to these!

Putting Out Lines - January 2023 (28 degrees)
มุมมอง 194หลายเดือนก่อน
Put out a few hooks in the winter! It was 28 degrees the next morning when we went to pull them! Fished 500 hooks, caught a few. Yes catfish bite in the winter time! So do white perch apparently!
Running Up Trotlines

Just getting some lines ran up, talking about how I do things. Check it out you won’t be disappointed. We go over some good knots to know.
Maybe talk about the way you are doing it with comfort for horse during process? U do a great job! U keep them in a natural position
Brilliant Job - God Bless those that help Animals.
Want more subscribers, talk much, much less.
Too much facetime. Bad camera angles
It’s like poor horse care to me
Nice…. Should call this a catching video rather than fishing!
WOW!! His hoof looked great after you got all done❤! Watching you. work on Rock's bad hoof gave me goose-bumps thinking it was hurting him, but he really didn't seem to mind and wasn't acting up nor did he seem afraid of you ❤ He seems to be a really sweet boy. Thank you for helping and God bless😊❤😊
The photo posted should have the hoof in the photo and does not need to have you in the photo. I bet you will get more views that way. Just saying, do as you see fit.
@@Plsd2beme thanks for the recommendation, I’ll keep that in mind. I’m not really here for views more than anything it’s so people who I service with my business can review my work when they are not present.
Sound please
Would have been great if it had sound
@@lilypina9073 I know right! The owner talked a lot and it was windy so I just cut it out. There will be many more videos with sound though promise!
@@fredsoutdooradventures9140looking forward to it. Ty
@@lilypina9073 I have realized that I talk a lot! To the camera after editing the newest videos I haven’t uploaded yet. So I apologize in advance I am a passionate rambler!
Cut the "arms" off those coil springs behind the levers. After you get the hang of adjusting the pan for being level and a bit of JUDICIOUS filing, you can get them to fire at 2-3lbs if you would like that better. Even 4 coiled. Definintely baseplate them, file off the sharp jaw edges and laminate the jaws. That is my favorite dogless style.
I like it thanks
What's the thickness on them fender washers?
I think there 18 gauge
@@fredsoutdooradventures9140 thanks man. Saved me alot of digging with that retrievable cable idea.
@@pigman571 you are going to love what I did with these new NO BS DP’s, gotta make the video still!
Just use your auger next to the pogo or any anchor Auger out dirt in a few seconds pull anchor its way better and faster than putting extra crap on
That’s fine and all but then you gotta pack an auger and a cordless drill.
Very clever idea, definitely going to give it a try. Thanks!
Thanks! I’ll be posting what I’m using this year soon! You will want to check them out.
I tried these with 20" and 1 1/4 washer and it pulled out like nothin
1.25” are too small.
@@fredsoutdooradventures9140 nowhere here has 2"
nice
Thanks there will be much more to come on trapping in this channel soon!
Yep there exactly the same as the old Northwoods I got 1 1/2s base plated 4 coild and center swiveled you can get alot of universal parts on fnt outfitters.after the modifications it's a pretty decent trap if you can make up the baseplates and do the welding it's still a cost effective trap I wanna get a couple dozen of the 3s and mod them
Not a bad trap so far.
Very slick Mr. Fred. Never seen drops made like that before. I just built 4 each 50 hook lines. I used #48 twisted & tarred nylon mainline, doubled #18 white twisted nylon drops, 170 lb swivels on the mainline for the drops, trotline mini clips with another 170 lb test swivel, 6 ft between the drops, I used a doubled overhand knot (water knot) then a pony bead (got a bag of 500 pony beads at Wally World for like $2), swivel, pony bead, and another knot, (doubling the knot puts twice as much material in the bend of the knot making it a lot stronger), 5 hooks to line, Gamakatsu 8/0 Octopus Circle Hooks, Cheater snelled with 6 wraps on the doubled drop line, loop end, and a 3 wrap uni-knot attached to the trotline mini-clip which I then clip to the swivels on the mainline, 5 lines clipped together with 450 lb test coastlock swivels on the ends, and a heavy clip on the end for quickly attaching to the anchor lines. Anyhow, I did all that then I watched your videos and here's you, a commercial guy using #1,1/0 or 2/0 Circle hooks, 30-50 lb green trilene big game mono, and #24 mainline. I waaayyy overbuilt! That is a very slick method for making drops! And a quick and slick knot on both ends. And the floats, I forgot about the floats, now I've gotta go back and make some alterations. Thanks for the videos! Very informative! P.S. I tied up 200 drops with the hooks "Backwards"! Dammit man! I had to go back, untie and retie all 200. Oh well, at least I'm consistent, consistently wrong, but consistent never-the-less!
Got some new videos out you may be interested in!
I been looking at them in #2. First thing I would do is base plate them. I have WC dog proof traps. The springs are weaker than my Duke dp.
I didn’t end up using them too much.
what gauge of wire?
Can you please show how to get them out
manaia armstrong you just pull on the wire and they come out.
Good video; I subbed to ya! Check us out when you get a chance! Yup, Wolf Creek Products is our channel sponsor!
I believe those are modeled after north woods with a Montgomery pan system
Mac Crome I believe that is correct!
