Αρμονία | Harmony - a documentary portrait of Ektoras Tartanis
A documentary portrait that aims to give access to the musical world of conductor and composer Ektoras Tartanis. It is featuring his biographical and cultural background and explores his way of thinking as well as his artistic and spiritual foundation.
This movie is the result of 2 years of work, filming, editing, recording and finalizing, beginning in July 2022. Our objective was to present an all-around classical music-documentary that should be captivating both with its storytelling as well as with its pictures.
A special thanks goes to the talented director, cameraman, editor and mastermind of this movie Daniel Grootz, sound designer Benjamin Pohler and editor Felix Dahm, as well as Katerina Polemi for her trust and support.

I have heard other orchestras play this and though it was faultless it lacked all sensitivity, This music music must be played with the soul and undying sensitivity. You guys reached a deep part within me and I thank you for your spirituality fromthe bottom of my heart,
So lovely to see such passionate conducting for a piece of music as beautiful as this. Your build up to the crescendo at 5:55 is great and the explosion perfectly timed! The orchestra clearly enjoying the whole experience as well. It's sad not more people were around to witness it, but I think this is my new favorite performance of this great piece.

This is the first opera I saw as a teenager....free ticket because I played French horn in the school band. It has remained dear to me, and I am happy it is your good hands Maetro. Bravo!

I played first trumpet many times, this is beautiful music, and the violin solo!
I really did enjoy this magnificent and so clear way of conducting. As a harpist myself, I would have loved to play under your direction. A warm bravo to the brilliant harpist playing La Bohème, one of the more difficult score for harp !

I saw ballet "Spartacus" long time ago in former Leningrad , now St Peterburg .This is the best music Khachaturian ever composed .This performance brought back all memories . I am from Russia . Maestro Tartaris and orchestra
