That's why it's most likely 99: of thr time that they were monkey branching for a year or so before they left their partner up until they found someone they thought would be a good enough replacement. Of course, they didn't find that person 1-2 months later the breakup, that's because they've been talking to that person for quite some time before they left their relationship.
