NEMCRC Croft 02/04/23 second race TZR250 2MA
My 3rd race of the weekend at Croft. Not my best starts this weekend and tucked in behind Allan on a GSX600, then ended up in a little scrap for a lap or so. After a bit of a coming together into turn 1 I decided to try push to the front and get away from the melee! I have to take some of the blame for the coming together, watching the video I pass the other rider then move across, if I'd stayed on line it wouldn't have been an issue. Lesson learnt hopefully..

My first race for over a year so a bit rusty and nervous getting into this weekend.. Entered into the Post Classic Junior class on the TZR. Qualified 4th and in my first race had a good result and came 1st so started this from pole.

Finally I managed to get some track time, first outing of 2022 and recorded a few laps on the 400 until the GoPro switched itself off.. warming up laps but the bike was starting to go really well..

First track outing for the GSXR in almost exactly a year. A new ignition curve and some extras have upped it a HP or two and you can tell, little bike was flying. Lovely sunny day and a great well organised track day, open pit lane is always nice too.

My first ever outing at Croft! Got into it pretty well, finished 10th overall and had some good dices. Love the circuit it's great fast track. Sadly the Go-pro battery went flat 5 minutes in.

Second race of Saturday, on the GSXR400 and getting used to Croft circuit. Great being out in a mix of bikes from 125's to 600's I think (plus an FZ750?) Late to the start again, wasn't doing very well at hearing the calls for the race!

Second race of Sunday. Late to the grid after missing the call I missed the warm up lap and had to join the back, the track was wet after a downpour and the bike and tyres cold so I used it for a bit of wet weather practice really and picked my way through. Not so much a race but still good fun and the last outing of a cracking weekend all round.

First race of day 2 at Darlington & District motor club Battle of Britain meeting. My first time round the circuit on my TZR250, my 3rd time out on the track. Lot of fun racing against the mixed grid of bikes,mainly playing among the SV650's!

Kr1s speedometer 140..?
I picked up a gk73a this year but it was missing a CDI, curious is yours an after market one? If where can I get one, only ones I've found are from Ali Express. :/
This bike is running an Ignitech programmable igniter, it's for the 400 Bandit but fits straight onto the GSX-R and it's been reprogrammed to suit the bike.

God I love 2 strokes. So glad I got to live my 20s. 30s and 40s in Los Angeles in the 1980s ,1990s and 2000s on 2 strokes. RZs TZRs NSRs Gammas. Had them all. Just amazing bikes

you,ve binned the stat, running too cool, thats why too much splutter.
No it's running the OEM stat, needle there is showing about 60C, running the standard rad which was always very good anyway and cools well. The GoPro mike just makes it sound a bit rough but it's running well.

Hi Peter, yes it was a bit of a surprise! I'd decided that last lap to see just how late I dare brake then try to turn in and the lad behind had the same idea and couldn't back out of it. You can just see him and his bike as we're sliding along. Luckily no injuries and only a bit of bending and fibreglass to repair.
