In my home state of MA even a first offense DWI/OUI results in loss of right to carry if you are found "guilty" that's because the maximum penalty for a first (and second) is 2.5 years in jail even though it's a misdemeanor

I was arrested for DUI but not convicted (the case was ultimatley dismissed) back in January of 2021 when I was 17. I am now 20 and and trying to get my first class medical certficate to continue my pilot training. I have about 60 hours so far and need my meidcal certificate before I can solo and finish my private. It was a one time offense and I have no substance abuse history with alchahol just a bad one time mistake and the bac was 0.07 although I don't have any official documents regarding the bac. (I am trying my best to obtain these documents and the police report). After going to the AME I passed all the phsycial tests but they had to defer the application to the FAA for them to review it last week. My AME told me they will either issue a certificate or tell me what else I may need to do in order to get the medical. I was told they can take 4-8 weeks if not longer them to respond. Do you know what will the most likley outcome for me and what my best options are? Any advice and tips would be highly appreciated as I am very passionate about aviation and I can't think of doing anything else.

Man i wish i lived in Texas, in Illinois there is no expulsion of DUIs in Illinois. I was stupid in my 20s and got 2 duis. Now that i want to become a pilot its gonna bite me in the ass. Will have to spend thousands on doctor evaluations and Psychological testing. Almost not worth it.

A friend has gotten approval / Jop court order for occupational license and supposedly clerk said no further action needed on his part and they'd file to DPS and a hard copy will be sent out to him ? But he's heard that he needs to file it himself and more fees ?

Yeah got arrested for DWI refused a breathalyzer and now on borrowed time till ALR hearing . One lawyer in the valley ( where this happened ) told me that there are no time limits on these convictions . I'm 55 yo and was convicted on two previous counts . more than thirty years ago . She also said that they may not dig that far back ??

So as a young man "high school" and early 20s I was a party animal i was convicted of several minor consumptions "under age drinking" I did have to attend alcohol classes then in 2006 and in 2009 I was convicted of dui's it's been 10years since my last DUI I'm 36 and interested in getting my private pilots license for recreation and traveling to and from work, I'm worried about the medical exam is this an automatic disqualification? If so then my only option is just go for sport license? Your answer would be greatly appreciated thankyou for your time
