6.2 LS engine with oil pressure message on dash intermittently and oil pressure displays - - - dashes.

Oil pressure light comes on after 20 min of running. Problem Solved! Replaced little screen under oil pressure sensor( that didn’t fix it) Replaced oil pump, oil pump o ring, oil pressure relief valve which is inside the oil pan. Screws right in just above where the oil filter would go. New ac Delco oil filter. Started up cold with 60 then dropped to 40 after a few min. Now after running over a...

I have a 2013 CTS Coupe. I want to verify that this video solved my problem and now my door works as if it was bought yesterday. I had trouble disconnecting some of the parts so it took me a bit longer. The only thing this video does not detail are the ways to release some of the pieces from other parts. However, once that was sorted the video was helpful to the end of the process

Thanks for showing me where the oil control valve is. My check engine light is on. I don't know what code the dealer read on the car, but they said they would start with the oil control valve and if that didn't fix it, the oil pump was the issue. It is going to cost $4600. I said forget it. The car has 5k left to pay off and i'll just make this a project car and buy something else. The ATS has a LOT of problems. I've done a lot of work to it since I bought it including transmission work.
This is great-- worked like a charm for me! fwiw, i used regular WD-40 instead of electrical cleaner and it did the job fine.

Oil control solenoid is just one in many issues with code P06DE, good luck if that solenoid fixes the code for you
my car door won't open from the inside button and from the outside pad. I completely replaced the inside button with a new one and it still makes a click sound with the window and doesn't open. What could be the issue?
Does it make that same noise when u try inside or out.? If you’re hearing something that means the switch is good and the issue could be the door lock latch assembly. Inside the door.
@@wesautomotive1568 yes, from the outside I hear the sound too when trying the pad. Do you have a video on how to remove the door lock latch assembly and replace it?

Does the gearbox cause this problem?
When you say gearbox I’m assuming you’re talking about the transmission. This vehicle has an automatic transmission. All we are doing on this transmission here is servicing it with new fluid and filter with of course original GM ac delco filter and fluid. The issue we were having with the transmission was that it was shuddering or shaking going in to some gears while driving. The service cleared that up. The other part we are changing in this video is an oil control valve that is for the engine. We were getting a trouble code for this. Replacing that oil control valve fixed our issue with that…. No more codes.

Battery could have enough juice to roll a window up and down but not start the car. Large current draw when you start your car.

Did you actually diagnose a bad solenoid? Have a 13 ants with 2.5 at my shop same code with a broken piston squiter there’s a tsb for it

For anyone who ran into this issue I'm currently going through it. Keep getting the P06DE code for oil pressure being low and have gotten the warning sign of reduced engine power. Took my car to the dealer for an inspection and they told me my car had a leak from the Vaccum Pump, Oil Pump Flow Valve, Lower Pan and Front Cover. Any advice on this ? The video does look helpful but I dont have the tools necessary to complete it all I"m afraid but dont want to be charged a crazy amount from the dealer.
I was told the same exact thing… The repair total was 6k…. Haven’t returned yet.
@@RonnieGreenjr @mr.amazing1742 Almost the same as you guys. Was told the oil control valve "might" fix the problem. $500 to fix it. If that doesn't fix it then they will replace the oil pump which was 5k. NO thanks. The cars sitting in the driveway now and i'm just going to take my time to fix it myself. I've already put thousands of dollars of repairs into it. It sucks because I have 5k left to pay on the car. I'm just going to buy a used car for under 10k at this point. No point in spending 30k on a car that needs 10k in repairs over 5 years.
