i just watched the film for the first time the other day and have been scouring youtube for good analyses. I think yours is the first that i found that offered a fresh perspective and original commentary. Everyone else seemed to just paraphrase that one video quentin tarantino did of the film and talk at length about the step-printing technique. While i learnt a lot from those, your video essay really resonated with the same vibe i got from the film itself. Anyways, all this is to say, i really enjoyed the video and appreciate what you do!

I think the blonde woman's character has her moment in the theme of love when she pages happy birthday to the naive cop. Despite no shot of romantic compatibility, despite her complete independence from anyone altogether, and despite her not even being on screen when it happens, we see her heart open just a little bit. She's a gun toting drug smuggling badass, but between this act of kindness and the ironic softness of the kidnapping she's forced to do, she exhibits some kind of warmth.
