If you think Berwick is broken you want to explore some towns down South. Its better to have charity shops than empty shops. You want a quaint little town but then moan the large chain shops have closed? I visited last month and did not think it was run down. You do not want a busy shopping centre. Queuing for every purchase and nowhere to park. Dirt, noise, vandalism.... Having a well paid job isnt luck! I would rather live there than here, different pace of life. I am in London and we get Peregrines killing our pigeons too! I hear you and liked the video and thought I would give my thoughts on your comments. :)

Could the drought be down to the fact the population has increased by over 1.5 million in the last 3 years? We had droughts in the 70's and the population has increased by 14 million since then. Where do you think they're supposed to get all the extra water needed from? In London alone the population is up over 600 thousand in 3 years. Surely, that has an impact on air pollution and temperature.

The plan is to sacrifice small business and turn high streets into housing for all our new residents. You can buy things online from untaxed multinational corporations and have them delivered by one of our new residents so what is there to complain about? If you are unhappy don't bother protesting, join the government and kick out the criminals who are devolving power to outside influences like the WEF and WHO et al. I was in Berwick a couple of years ago. I went back to visit because it held good memories for me from when I was a teenager (three decades earlier). It was so depressing how dingy the town had become. A lot of dodgy-looking characters hanging about in groups as well (some local hotels obviously being utilised by the Home Office, like everywhere else now). It was a shame. At least down by the water was still nice with the bridges.

Not only do Pubcos lease pubs to tenants and take a cut of their profits as rent, which could disadvantage the tenants, but also the beer-tie system, where pub tenants buy most of their beer from the pubco which owns the premises, pushes wholesale prices higher.

My friend has a brewery and they run 3 puns 2 they own and 1 they lease he brews some great beer and sells it for between £2.25 and£2.50 a pint Wetherspoons will only buy it if he’s nearly giving it away. Pub prices are so high because company’s sell the beer which you have to buy for their pubs at inflated prices so the managers have to charge these prices just to try and make some money so it’s no surprise people are not going out as much. These pub chains are cutting their own throats Wetherspoons are not helping trying to pay nothing for the beers big brewers are cutting corners making cheap shit beer and charging top prices for it when you step back and look at it it’s no wonder it’s in decline

That the pubco's are shysters is obvious and beyond doubt. Funnily enough they never target experienced managers who know the realities. That being said, most bar owner / operators are clueless about sales / marketing / promoting. Nor do they have the confidence to charge more for their products. Get your hands dirty and get some experience in the field before getting involved with pubco's. Cultivate and nurture promoters and influencers. Devote your energy to getting business through the door

  • @sandymoorferrariclub2351

The current generation of old people have killed off the pub tradition in Britain. Having a decent pub significantly raises local house prices. Old people have more money and are much more able to afford to live in areas with higher house prices. As a result, old people tend to live near a pub and young people don't. Therefore, it's old people's fault if their 'local' closes down. Most young people don't even have a 'local' in the first place. Maybe old people should start actually going and spending some money in their local pub rather than complaining when somewhere they give no custom to closes down.
