How old was the woman? Do they know? Wondering what happens to the materials what was used to make to bust and can't make the computer the model for the head (where to put all the muscles, nose, etc.)?

My favourite mixture of art and science. If it has taught me ANYTHING its that men are just women with less detail.

I've always wondered, did they have to do a DNA test if they only have one bone (other then the pelvis) or is there some other clues to the gender on the bones themselves. (Not accounting for size)🤔🤔

An ancient skull reassembled then cataloged always seems so scientific and impersonal. Just another archeological specimen of an ancient people to be studied then filed away. Seeing one facially reconstructed reminds us this was an individual. An actual person their own struggles, hopes, and dreams. It always makes me wonder who they were and what their story was. As a species we are all instinctively drawn to want to connect with each other.

This is simply amazing. I believe that the use of both technology to reconstruct the skull completely then to have someone skilled in the reconstruction of the features via the techniques shown here is incredible.

This artist using clay has no idea what her nose or lips looked like . . . Change the nose and you have a complete different look . . . This is a real crock !! One way to check this out . . . Get the skull to the artist to do facial reconstruction and see what they come up with . . Then compare to a photo of the deceased that the artist has not viewed or know existed . . Has anyone done this ???
