Is the owner English as he sounds like a southerner & this has been done a lot over here in the UK particularly with Piaggio & lambretta Tuk-Tuks & uk built Suzuki carrys & badge engineered Vauxhall Bedford Rascals. As this cars in the states shouldn't it be a Scion iq or is it an import ?

Wow! Big respect mate! That's a super cool conversion! Turned out beautifully. Hard work paid off! A local company is quoting me a 5k maybe bit more for a turbo conversion OR supercharger, but they recon turbo conversion with extra ECU piggybagged into the main one? Any thoughts or recommendation on whether to do SC or TC? I don't think Rotrex does the TC kits anymore or atleast not to NZ... Cheers!

Hi that, was actually only the second time I had driven the car, you can tell by the bad clutch shifts, not an easy car to drive with a foot clutch converted from a hand lever. I was still taking it easy as I had not fully tested how strong my drive train was, I did push it a little harder on later drives and it sounds amazing when you shift at 14,000rpm..
@@davidfrancis3293 id love to see some footage. Have you considered a quick shifter? I have one on my bike and they're a game changer.

Why isn't Crossplane 4-cyl engine a thing in cars? Why don't ecoboost Mustangs for example have this type of engine in order to sound more V8-ish while being more lightweight and practical?

That is something I need to get done, the R1 engine weighs the same as the iQ transmission, not including the iQ engine and all the stuff that's bolted onto it. car is pretty stripped out too, so be interesting to see what it does weigh.

Ha ha... I already owned ithe iQ and I knew the handling was good with uprated suspension. just needed to be quicker and noisier.
I have a jdm 2zz ge with bolt on and it sounds very like the R1 at full throttle

I have a 2012 IQ with the CVT mush box. I read that Dave had a 6 speed manual conversion from an IQ that he had for sale.. If it's still for sale I'm interested.

Only Clio that's RWD is the V6 who in there right mind would convert a V6 Clio a bad 1 is worth £25,000 most are at least 50 grand certainly in the UK which is a huge market for anything Renault Sport.

it is crazy cornering with super hard suspension and those soft compound tires.

can someone explain why this big i3 1000c 12v 67hp produce so much less power than i4 inline 4 190hp R1 engine? it's literally half of the iq stock but it's better. can i ask why?
this build can surely hit 250 with that engine.
because Supersbike's engine is High Compressed Engine and didn't aiming for fuel efficient consumption. Bigger Camshaft, Smaller Combustion Chamber ( High Compressed ), High Flow Heads, powerful injectors and Aggressive ECU Maps ( Ignition Timing / Fuel Mapping ).
